Reminder:  All items for Grade Level Raffle Baskets are due on Tuesday, May 2!  Please make sure the kids have what they agreed to donate!  Everything is due on May 2 so that the PTA can assemble the baskets for the Snow Family Carnival on Friday, May 19!  Thanks for your help and cooperation!

We will have book check out tomorrow.  Please make sure your child brings in their library books.  We will also have Art and Math Enrichment.  Because we are starting M-step testing the first week of May, your child will be taking two NWEA tests this week.  Please make sure they are getting plenty of rest and a good breakfast before they come to school.

Our spelling words for this week focus on contractions:

isn’t, she’s, you’ve, won’t, we’ll.

Our content words are:

contractions, compare, contrast, copper, attack.

We had a wonderful experience watching the play at Stout Middle School.  Our actors and actresses are very talented as well as all of the “tech team” that did all of the behind the scenes work!!  We appreciate having the opportunity to see the play first hand!

Homework for tonight: study for the spelling test and make sure the spelling activities are completed and turned in by tomorrow.  Some students will be finishing up their Unit 8 Math Practice Test.  We will review this tomorrow and have the Unit 8 test on Monday, April 24th.

We will be walking to Stout tomorrow to see the play.  Please make sure your child dresses for the weather and wears sensible shoes (gym shoes, since we have gym tomorrow afternoon). We will go even if it is sprinkling.  In case of bad thunderstorms, of course, we will cancel the outing.  We will be back in time to eat lunch at school.

Great News!  We have been invited to see Aladdin, Jr. (the musical) at Stout Middle School.  Several of our students from Snow are in the play including TWO from our class!  Please sign and return the permission slip by tomorrow if your child can attend.  There in no charge, no chaperones are required, and we will WALK from Snow School.  This takes place on Thursday, April 2oth.

Homework for tonight: Spelling activities, Homelink 8.8 and get permission slip signed and returned.
