Increase achievement and decrease discipline issues with effective Parent Talk. Learn communication skills that empower, encourage self-responsible behaviors, self-motivation and character development. Learn practical skills to positively effect the social and emotional development of your children and family. Certificate of completion is awarded to participants who complete the course!
Parent Talk Sessions will be on Thursdays in Snow School Cafeteria from 2:00pm-3:30 pm
October 11,18, 25. November 1, 8, 15, 29. December 6, 13.

تعنى هذه الدورة بأهمية النقاش الفعال مع الاهالي و تأثيره على رفع سوية إنجازات الطلاب الاكاديمية و التقليل من مشاكل الانضباط و السلوك . تعلم مهارات التواصل التي من شأنها تشجيع الطالب على التصرف بمسؤولية و ايجاد الدافع الذاتي وتنمية الشخصية. تعلم المهارات العملية التي تؤثر تأثير إيجابياً على التطورالاجتماعي والعاطفي للأطفال والأسر.
سيحصل الاهالي المشاركين في هذه المحاضرة على شهادة تثبت حضورهم و اكمالهم هذه الجلسة.

تبدأ الصفوف يوم الخميس من الساعة 2:00 – 02:30 ظ في قاعة الطعام، في الأيام التالية:

11،18،25 تشرين الأول.
1،8،15،29 تشرين الثاني.

Great news! Snow School is continuing our Read at Home Plan.  With our new Book Room, every Snow student will go home with “Good Fit” Books daily! “Good fit” books are books that are not too hard and not too easy.  The expectation is that students improve their reading skills and develop a love for reading.

Snow School Read at Home Plan

• Reading Book Bags will go home daily with “Good Fit” Books

• Students must read daily:

• Grades (K-1) 15+ minutes daily

• Grades (2-5) 30+ minutes daily

• Reading Logs- Signed daily by parents and   checked by teachers.

• MobyMax (Students can login through CLEVER on Dearborn Schools home page.  Please contact Mrs. Bush bushm@dearbornschools.org for assistance if needed.

Good Afternoon everyone!  I hope you are enjoying your weekend!

Tomorrow is our field trip!  It is just supposed to sprinkle a little bit, so dress your children for the weather.  Waterproof shoes or boots, a raincoat or rain poncho and a small umbrella should do fine.  Also, don’t forget to pack them a bag lunch with their name clearly marked on it.  No glass bottles or lunchboxes please!!

Our spelling words for the week focus on the short and the long /o/:

fox, lock, pop, hop, box, poke, cone, bone, hope, joke.

P.S. Chaperones, remember to sign in at the office and head down to room 16 between 9 and 9:15.

Greetings Parents!

Monday is October 1st!  We have our field trip on Monday. If you are a chaperone you will need to stop in to the classroom by 9:15 after signing in at the office.  Also you will need to drive to the 3 Cedars Farm and meet us.  Our bus is full!  Don’t forget to pack your child a bag lunch labeled with their name and have them dress for the weather.  Have your child wear closed to shoes or boots (recommended).

Homework for this weekend: Read 20-30 minutes each night.  Also complete math pages 47 and 48.

Now that it is cooler, no water bottles will be allowed in class!  We are blessed to have a water fountain right in our classroom!
