We are having an Ice Bucket Challenge to raise money for ALS.  We are going to assemble near the courtyard tomorrow at 2:45.  Everyone is invited!!

If your child would like to donate to ALS, they may wear a hat and pay $1.00.  The proceeds go to ALS.

We had a wonderful start to our school year today!  Other than rainy weather, everything went well.  Your children are lovely!  I know we are going to have a great year together 🙂

Your child received a homework folder that contained a lunch menu and an application for  free or reduced lunch.  If you are interested in applying, fill out the questionnaire, sign it and return it to me by the end of the week.  Also, I would like the children’s planner to be reviewed and signed by you daily.  That way, you will know exactly what homework your child has, or what projects are due.

If you need to communicate with me, the fastest and easiest way is to email me.  I check my school email several times a day and I will make every attempt to respond as quickly as possible.

Currently, we have no schedule for specials.  As soon as a schedule is completed, I will place that information on my blog.

Good Morning! Save the date!!  Our Snow School Open House will take place on Thursday, September 18th from 5:00 pm to 6:30 pm.  Hope to see everyone there!

Hello Snow Fourth Grade Parents!

I am thrilled to have your child in my class this year!  I hope everyone had a relaxing summer.  We are all ready to begin the fall semester.  Here is a list of the school supplies your child needs to start the new year:

6 one subject spiral notebooks

4 two pocket folders

2 highlighters (any color)

1 box of colored pencils or a box of crayons

2 big erasers

1 pencil box or pouch

1 pair of child safe scissors

3 dry erase markers (blue or black)

2 pads of sticky notes

6 pens (blue or black)

6 red pens

24 sharpened pencils

1 protractor

2 packs of wide ruled lined paper

2 small pencil sharpeners

1 container of Clorox Wipes

2 boxes of facial tissue

1 ream of white copy paper

School begins on Tuesday, September 2nd.  This is only a half day, so school will end at 11:45 am.

I hope everyone has a happy, safe and productive summer!!  Thank you parents for all of your support this year!!

We will have a half day tomorrow for the last day of school.  Please be aware that students will not have breakfast available.  Make sure they eat prior to coming to school.  There will be dismissal at 11:45 am.

Look for your child’s manila envelope that they bring home today.  It contains their report card and their materials to support learning over the summer.  Please make sure they do the activities recommended, and be aware that if you have no internet access, the Snow School Library and Computer Lab will be open every Wednesday afternoon.  (check the packet for exact times)  When students return in the fall, they will receive a prize for completing all to the activities.  Keep your child reading and writing over the summer!

Tomorrow is the last full day of school.  At the end of the day, we will clean out our desks.  Please check your child’s backpack when they come home tomorrow.

Today, I sent home their wonderful writings.  Please ask your child to share their stories and essays with you tonight.

If your child received a yearbook today, make sure they bring it back tomorrow to get autographs from their friends.  All others will simply use a sheet to paper to collect their autographs.

Please make sure your child returns their pictures or picture money as soon as possible.  All are due Thursday this week.

Don’t forget to encourage your child to read at least 20 minutes per night! Have a great evening!!

It is hard to believe that there are only 3 1/2 more days of school!  The school year has really flown by!

Monday will be wild and wacky hair day according to our ABC countdown.

If you still have pictures that you would like to return, please do so as soon as possible.  If you would like to purchase them, send in the money on Monday.
