Hard to believe that Monday is already over!  Tomorrow we have Library and Gym, so don’t let your child forget their Library books and they need to wear their gym shoes.

Our first PBIS party will be Wednesday, October 1st.  Keep encouraging your child to stay on green!  We will have a special VIP activity for all of the children who stay on green all year!!

Your child’s Unit 1 Math Test is in their homework folder.  Please review it, sign and return.  I like to make sure that all parents are aware of how their child is progressing.  Thank you in advance.

We will be having our first MAP test online tomorrow!  Please read the letter about it that your child is bringing home.  We talked about it quite a bit in class, so if you have questions, your child should be able to answer those.  If not, feel free to email me anytime.

Hello Parents!  I hope you are enjoying the beautiful weekend!

We have a lot going on this week.  First of all, we have a 4 day week!  We will be off on Friday, so the spelling test will be on Thursday this week.  The following week we have Monday off, then picture day is on Tuesday!  I hope we can remember to dress in our best duds!!

We also have a late start on Wednesday…school starts at 9:35 am.

This weeks spelling words are focusing on the long vowel /o/:

owner, compose, joke, only, grow

The content words are:

organism, light, energy, air, water

Great weather makes me think of spring!  It’s nice to get some warm weather before the snow flies!

Today’s homework is to study for the spelling test, and complete Study Link 2.3.

Your child is bringing home a Study Link to do for homework, and they need to practice their spelling words, we will do Buddy Check tomorrow.   (A few children did not complete an in-class word search, so they need to complete that and return it.)

If you have not read and signed the concussion form and weapons notification form, please do so and return these to school tomorrow with your child.  Thank you to those of you who returned them today!

Your child has a science question to ponder tonight for homework.  “Can we change the form of matter?”  We already discussed as a class two ways that could happen, are there more?  You might want to have a discussion with your child about that question.
