Library books are also due tomorrow.

We have gym, so gym shoes are required.

We have a full week of school this week!  It has been a while!!  Our Week 6 spelling words will focus on the long vowel /i/.  The words are:

flight, slight, sigh, fright, bright

The content words are focusing on math:

median, mode, data, maximum, minimum

Tomorrow we will have art and math enrichment.  If your child needs to bring in materials for art, they can do so tomorrow.

Just a reminder that the flyers about our Book Fair went home today with your child.  We will visit during our library time on Tuesday.

Please make sure your child is practicing their multiplication facts each night.  We will begin timed tests next week.

The students did a great job on the MAP test today.  Ask them about what they read!

Homework today is Study Link 2.9 (this sheet is also 2 sided, but I remembered to remind the kids!)  They will also be doing Buddy Check to test their spelling words.  Make sure they are studying each night.

I will be out of the building tomorrow, but Mrs. Clark, my favorite substitute teacher, will be in for me again.

Our Book Fair will be the week of October 13th.  We will visit on our regular library day (Tuesday).  If you would like to send your child with money, they will be able to shop on that day.  A flyer will be coming home to you shortly.

Picture day went well!  Even though we did not have our pictures taken until 1:00, we all looked our best and gave our best smiles!

Your child has a Study Link to do for homework.  Also make sure they are practicing their multiplication facts daily.

Welcome back!  I hope everyone enjoyed the long weekend and the holiday if you celebrate it.  We have a lot going on this week.  There will be Media Center checkout tomorrow (make sure your child brings in their library books), gym is tomorrow (shoes required) and pictures taken at 1:00 pm!  (have your child bring a comb)

Wednesday our class will be having another MAP test.  This one will be testing reading.  The class did a great job last week.  They needed lots of stamina and they had it!!

There will be a Peace Pole Dedication on Friday, October 10th at 2:45 pm.  There will be a short program including a musical number by 4th and 5th grade students.  PBIS September party attendees will have Pinwheels for Peace on display at our site.  We would love to have you join us!
