Stay Warm!

Brrrr….it’s COLD outside!!  Thanks for dressing your children for the weather.  If your child wears boots to school, please make sure they have shoes to change into.  Boots are too warm for all day wear!  Thanks…

The spelling words this week focus on words with silent letters:

knuckles, honor, wrestle, heir, doubt

The content words are:

axis, revolve, planet, orbit, rotation

Homework for today:  SL 5.10, study spelling, study multiplication facts.

Tomorrow we have Library and Gym.  Please make sure your child brings in any library books for renewal or return.  Also, gym shoes are a must!!

I hope everyone had a great break!  It is hard to believe it is time to go back to school already!

Tomorrow we have Art and Math Enrichment.  Stay tuned for the spelling words.  I will post them on tomorrow’s blog.

Please make sure your child gets enough sleep tonight.  We always have a hard time starting our week back if everyone is sleep deprived!!

Tomorrow is supposed to be very cold, so make sure your child dresses appropriately.  Hats and gloves/mittens are a must!  If we do go out, we want all the children to be warm and toasty!

I will see everyone bright and early tomorrow!  Have a great rest of your evening…

Thank you so much for coming to support your child today for our presentations!  And for those who couldn’t make it, I know you were there in spirit!!  We appreciate all of you and the kids were really thrilled to share their hard work!!  We will continue to celebrate tomorrow as we reflect on our work.

Speaking of tomorrow, if your child would like to bring a treat to share they are welcome to bring one in.  We will keep our celebration low key.  We will do activities, watch a holiday movie and participate in the sing along at the end of the day.

Tomorrow we have gym, so gym shoes are required.  We also have our project presentations at 2:30, so I am asking the students to dress in nice apparel.  Hopefully, you can join us!! Please sign in to the office and come down to Room 7 about 2:30 pm.  We are looking forward to seeing you there!!

A new week!

Good Afternoon!

Tomorrow is Tuesday, so library books are due.  We also have gym, so make sure your child wears their gym shoes.

If your child goes to extended day, make sure they have a snack for tomorrow.

Our homework is Study Link 5.8, study spelling and multiplication facts.  Our spelling words are as follows:

Santa Claus, gifts, sleigh, elves, reindeer, mistletoe, North Pole, stockings, ornaments, Christmas tree, candy cane, caroling, tinsel, wreath, coal, chimney.

Monday is almost here!

Can you believe it?  Only one more week of school until the break!  Wow!  Time is flying by…

Tomorrow we will have Art and Math Enrichment.  I hope your child has been practicing their math facts on Xtra Math.com.

Stand by for spelling words.  The words will be associated with the holiday.  Look for the list on my Monday blog.

Save the date for Thursday, December 18th at 2:30 pm.  The class will be presenting their Energy Hero projects.  (note:  parents who work during that time, don’t worry if you can’t make it…pictures will be taken and put on my blog)
