Homework for the weekend: Read 20 minutes each day.
Have a great weekend!!
Good Afternoon! Your child will have an emergency form in their homework folder today. Please check over all of the information and make corrections as necessary. Sign and return the form with your child tomorrow.
Homework for tonight: Make a list of where you can find numbers in your home.
Tomorrow we will have music. Have an enjoyable evening!
We had a good first full day of school! If it would cool off a little bit, it would make the transition from summer vacation a little easier!! Tonight’s homework is to read for 20 minutes. Please check and sign your child’s planner everyday.
Tomorrow we will have gym, so make sure that your child wears gym shoes. Also, send in a healthy snack. Please encourage your child to drink plenty of water. We have a water fountain in our room, so if you do not send them with a water bottle, they are encouraged by me to drink plenty of water in this heat.
Have a great evening!
It was wonderful to meet all of your children today! We will be getting to know each other for the next couple of weeks…a few things that I did not go over with the children:
They can bring a healthy snack to eat tomorrow. We will have lunch from 11:50-12:20 each day. The special schedule has not been finalized. I will let you know the days that we have gym, art, music and media when I get the schedule.
Homework for tonight: I want children to review their month, day and year of birth. We will be doing our birthday poster tomorrow. If you sign their planner tonight, they will get a blue pack pride ticket. This practice will continue throughout the school year. I am encouraging you to look at their planner each night to keep you up to date with what has been assigned.
A big thank you for all of the supplies! It is great to have supportive parents!
Have a great afternoon and stay cool!

It’s the last week of school! The year has flown by!!
Tomorrow your child will be bringing several things home! You should expect to see a set of tests that your child completed and that you have signed, a compilation of wonderful writings that they worked on throughout the school year, and other materials that are in their desk…we will keep our crayon box with supplies until the last day.
We will not have spelling this week, we will be reviewing the years spelling words with a spelling bee. We will have Gym tomorrow.
Save the date! On Thursday, June 16th (the last day of school), students will be presenting their research on the project they have been working on. Parents are welcome to attend. This will take place at 10:00 am. Refreshments will be served afterward. Hope to see you Thursday in Room 7!
