Happy Wednesday everybody!

Homework for tonight:  Work on spelling activities and read for 20 minutes.  Many students are asking if they can read on Myon for those 20 minutes.  The answer is “yes”.  Myon reading counts…just make sure your child takes the benchmark test after the story.  Otherwise, their lexile number does not go up!  New directions to access Myon and Mobymax are in my previous post.

Tomorrow we will have gym.  Please make sure your child wears gym shoes to school.  We will also take the Math NWEA test tomorrow.  Make sure your child gets lots of rest and eats a good breakfast.

Hello Parents!

Today we started the NWEA testing…reading is a tough one in 3rd grade, but the kids did a great job!  Some need to finish the test tomorrow.  We still have math, language arts and science to go…  One step at a time!

Homework for tonight:  Work on spelling activities and Home Link 1.5.

Tomorrow we will have Media Center and Math Enrichment.

Hello Parents!  I hope you and your children are having a great weekend!

Monday we will check out books from the Media Center.  Children will be allowed to check out one fiction and one non-fiction book.  They are allowed to keep them for a week and take them home if they choose to read them there.  The books are due back every Monday.

We will have Art tomorrow.  I know the children are looking forward to seeing Mrs. Zechar again!

The spelling words this week focus on the short and long /i/ sound:

bit, stick, will, ice, win.

The content words are: chart, solve, genre, Dearborn, friction.

The spelling activities will be due every Friday.  I have about 10 students who did not turn in their spelling activities last Friday.  If your child is one of them, please make sure they turn them in tomorrow!!

It was wonderful to meet everyone last night at Open House!  Thank you again parents, for all of your support!!  This is what makes Snow School so great…

Good Afternoon!  Tonight’s homework:  HomeLink 1.3 and start spelling activities.  The Homelink and the student reference book are due tomorrow.  Spelling activities are due on Friday.

We will start our spelling work this week.  Tomorrow we will review the short and long /i/ sound:

This week we will continue to review and practice procedures, add science and social studies reviews, and continue Daily 5 and our Unit 1 math.
