Good Afternoon!

Hopefully, we will get the report cards reprinted and in your hands tomorrow.  In the meantime, I want to remind you that Friday, February 12th and Monday, February 15th, students will not have school.

Due to the short week, we will have the spelling test on Thursday, February 11th.  This week we focus on words with an /ile/ or /il/ ending:

docile, profile, fragile, gerbil, council.

The content words focus on science (there are six content words this week):

solid, liquid, gas, matter, heating, cooling.

Please remember that students will be eating breakfast in the cafeteria in the morning.  Drop your child off by 8:15 and they can relax and eat their breakfast prior to coming to the classroom.

If your child is interested in passing out Valentine Cards to their classmates, they can do so on Thursday, February 11th.  I will give a copy of student names to those students who want them.  Also, if they would like to pass a treat that will be acceptable as long as the treat does not involve cupcakes or nut products.  (Please remember that we have a peanut allergy in our classroom.)

Tomorrow we will have Art.  Make sure your child is continuing to work on their Science Fair Project.  All projects are due on Tuesday, February 16th.
