***IMPORTANT***

PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE do not drop students off at HYPE after 8:15 a.m. without calling first. Today we had two students dropped off late and missed all work buses and CBI buses. Ms. Cote was on her way out of the building and it was only by chance that she was here when the two late students arrived. We will be happy to tell you where to drop them off (work location, etc.) if you are going to be later than 8:15 a.m. THANK YOU!

Schedule Week of Jan 19-23

Jan 20 – Regular schedule

Jan 21 – Regular schedule

Jan 23 – No School

Upcoming events

Tomorrow, January 16th, Fox 2 Health Reporter Deena Centofanti will be visiting us at Planet Fitness.  It is very important that all Planet Fitness students remember to bring their clothes.  I would like to see everyone participate.  I will let everyone know whether or not we will be on T.V., but please, no visitors during this time.  Thank you.

Tuesday, January 27th from 1-3 p.m.  “Accessing CMH Services” at the Michael Berry Career Center (Auditorium).  Please RSVP to Amy Swis LMSW School Social Worker 313-827-6361

New Cell Phone Policy

Effective immediately, we are implementing a new cell phone cell phone policy.  Students will now be required to check in their cell phone at the beginning of the day.  They may not have it during class, work sites, or  CBI activities.  They may have it again during lunch, and then again at the end of the day.  Any person who does not check their cell phone in will have their phone taken away and a parent will have to pick up the cell phone.  Students must have headphones to listen to music on their phones during fitness times (following lunch)  Unfortunately we have had far too many problems involving cell phones both in and out of the classroom, taking away from instruction time.

Late Start & Planet Fitness

Tomorrow is a late start, but our bus driver is able to pick us up for Planet Fitness. We are fortunate to have a driver willing to go the extra mile for us (no pun intended!); we were told at the beginning of the year that morning CBI buses would not run on late start days.  See everyone in the morning!

Reminder

Tomorrow we start back on our regular schedule.  As a reminder, any student not going to a work site in the afternoon will go to Henry Ford Centennial Library.  If you have not gotten your library card yet, please bring your State ID with you and we will take care of that!
