Hello! Things are moving along and I have a few updates for you regarding the program.

CBI/Job Sites – Will begin the week of September 23rd. Next week, you will receive a note that will let you know where your student has been placed for the semester, along with any other pertinent information. Our first CBI trip will be on Tuesday, September 24th. Students are expected to come prepared to participate. I would like to move away from students buying “whatever they want” – which most often results in a bag of chips and a coke from the check out line. (LOL) While they are welcome to purchase those things, we will be working on more focused lessons. Everything will be outlined for you prior to the trip.

Cooking Program – We will return to Friday breakfasts next week, September 20th. In addition, we will be making some recipes from our Unique Learning curriculum. The district recently purchased the big ticket items for us to be able to cook in the classroom, but we are still in need of some of the smaller items. Some of you have already donated generously to the classroom, but if you are looking looking for ways to contribute, our class could use the following items:

• Mortons Salt
• Pepper
• Slow Cooker Bags (7 qt size)
• 1 bottle Olive Oil
• 1 bottle Canola Oil
• Coffee Mate Coffee Creamer
• 1 bag sugar
• Apple Slicer – 2 needed
• Plastic Silverware – forks, knives and spoons
• Paper Bowls
• 16 oz foam or paper coffee cups

I will send a sign up link through Remind if you would like to donate something. The students and I appreciate your help so much! Please send donations by Thursday, September 19th if possible.
