Plans for pickup of student belongings

on May 27, 2020

Hello Parents!

I ‘ve had a few questions regarding the schedule for gathering your children’s belongings that still remain at school. Mr. Attee has put together a plan for Tuesday, June 2nd. Our time frame is 1:00-1:20.

I was in school today bagging all the contents of your children’s desks. I was able to include all their writing pieces, so please when you receive their bag, be sure to view those. It’s always been one of my favorite parts of the end of the year, comparing their first writing piece to their last one and those in between. There is so much growth. The children usually can’t believe how they used to print and how they used to spell. So adorable and exciting. Enjoy their observations and praise them for their growth. Thank you!!!! 🙂

I was able to put most of the children’s headsets in their big bag, but a few sets were not labeled or had fallen out of their labeled baggie, so I took a picture of those headsets that need to find their owner. If you see your child’s let me know which one it is and I will add it to their bag (possibly tomorrow). Just send me an email. Thank you!

Again, if you see your child’s headset, let me know which one it is via email and I will be sure to put it in their bag for Tuesday pickup.

Having been at school for most of the day, I will try to correct all of today’s submitted work this evening. Sorry for the delay.

I have to admit it sure wasn’t enjoyable bagging all my little kiddo diddos things. I was able to smile as I found myself reading some of their writing pieces and going down our second grade memory lane. I never would have thought that any of my years teaching would have a school year end like this one. 🙁

I will be helping with the bag distribution, so I may be lucky to see you then!!!

Any questions, don’t hesitate to ask!!! “See” you tomorrow (video).

Fondly,

Mrs. Burke
