Hello Parents!
Your busy bees were engaged in another busy week in Hive 108. We are making good progress with our classroom routines. We continue to work on our “voice volume” and raising our hands to contribute to our discussion or ask a question. Reminders from you would be warmly appreciated!
Here we go onto our next busy week in Hive 108:
Spelling: (short i and long i): did, mix, like, bike, hike, rip, ripe, shin, shine, trick and bonus words are: pipe, stick, and stripe. Our question is: Did the kind boy let you pick up his bike? Please stress the sounds that both the short i and long i make.
Reading: Working on asking and answering comprehension questions during our reading. Some responses will be in written form using complete sentences.
Writing: Personal Narratives—using a story board to draw our story and then convert it into words—our first draft and some revising.
Math: Your child’s first module test came home on Friday. I was pleasantly pleased with many of their scores!!! Something I forgot to tell the class is that I wanted them to correct their mistakes, have their parents sign it and then return this test to school. Please be sure your child has their signed test in their homework folder for Monday. 🙂 Thank you!!!!
We began Module 2 utilizing measurement in our problem solving. Continue to view their planner for homework assignments. We do correct their homework daily.
