Open house is Thursday, Sept. 17th from 4:30 – 6:00. I hope to see everyone there!
Spelling words will be posted on Mondays (Sorry I’m a little late this week). There are 2 spelling groups right now. This may change as the year continues. Your child was placed in a group based on a pre-spelling test I gave in class. Tests will be on Fridays.
Group 1 oxygen strap bent umbrella shipment prime staple because hope rumor north south east west location
Group 2 lane ate trap tape can cap cape man late cane north south east west
It is hard to believe it is the last day of school. Next year, your child will be in 5th grade.
Your child will receive their report card today along with a copy of their NWEA scores. The students know what goals they met and which goals they need to work on next year. There is also a supply list for 5th grade so you can shop during the sales before school begins.
Over the summer, it is important that your child continues to read and practice their math. There are several ways to do this.
Reading: -read on line on MYON.com. The students know their user name and
password.
-Dearborn Libraries always have a great summer reading program with
prizes and fun activities for the kids and it is free.
Math: -Students have an account with Studyisland.com which they know the
password for.
-They also have accounts for xtramath.org for fact practice.
-You can also but workbooks at 4th or 5th grade levels at the dollar
store for your child to work on.
Have a great summer. Keep reading!
