The first graders are learning about plants. They reviewed the parts of a plant and the purpose of each part. Then they ate a root (carrot), stem (celery), leaf (lettuce), flower (broccoli), and seeds (corn).
The 4th and 5th grade students are learning about where volcanoes are in the world. They graphed the location of some of the more active ones on a world grid. Next week we will continue to look at the larger picture and answer the question- Can a volcano “pop up” in Michigan?
