This year began with challenges for the students. We created dot towers to go with the book The Dot. Fifth graders created a model of a rule. Second graders had to create a name tag that was 3D and could hold a pencil.

The third graders are being paleontologists and digging for bones in owl pellets.

Second Graders received their very own pet mealworm. The are going to watch it go through its life cycle.

Last week the first graders tried using different types of bird beaks.

This week they were challenged to create a bird beak that could pick up noodles.

The kindergartners are learning about isopods. They are observing and comparing pill bugs and sow bugs.

This week the kinders went fishing for magnetic items.

Fifth graders were excited to figure out why things explode.

Third graders are learning about pollination. They had to use their bee to pollinate flowers.

The kinders took their knowledge of sink or float and made boats that could float and hold weight.

First graders are learning about the parts of a plant. They had to figure out what part of a plant each vegetable is. They learned we eat every part of plants.
