Reminder ~ All Matchbook Summary Projects are due on Friday, May 29th.
Please ask your child if they have completed the project. If not, tonight is the last night they can work on it.
**This is a large part of the 6th card marking grade!!
We will also write a Father’s Day poem next week for one last assignment.

Reminder ~ if your child has sent in $14 & a permission slip for our Toledo Zoo Trip on June 8th, then please note:
-Pack a snack & lunch (or money to buy food)
-Bring a water bottle to stay hyrdrated
-Comfortable shoes & jacket (just in case)
-Additional money IF they want to purchase souvenirs
-Dress for the heat / rain / sun
-8am to 2:55pm

*Permission slips & $14 are due this week for the Toledo Zoo Field Trip!
*Progress reports are being sent home next week (mailed to house) for those missing work or with grades of C – or lower.
*I will personally hand a hard copy of the progress note to all those with C – or lower. On the progress report is a pass to come make up or turn in any low or missing work.
In Language Arts we will complete the Novel Summary “Matchbooks” in class. This is a very big part of the 6th card marking grade. Students running behind on their matchbook summaries are welcome to work on those at home (listen to novel online & summarize at home).
On Thursday we will take the NWEA Map Reading Test online.
We hope all students will give their best effort & we can report their reading level soon after.
Hopefully all students will be making gains & improvements in their reading scores.

The trip will take place on Monday, June 8th. All info & particulars are on the sheet.
Permission slip & money are due by Tuesday, June 26th!
This is a SCHOOL WIDE trip (each grade will take a different trip).
We will have a quiz on Tues, April 21 – Chapters 1-4 in The Westing Game or Into the Wild. All reading has been done in class.
**Any student that is missing work or has assignments to redo, received a progress report today. Any late or missing work must be turned in by April 30th to be counted for the 5th card marking period.
7th Grade classes will be M Step testing next week (Starting April 28th).
There are two weeks left until the end of the 5th card marking. Grades will be turned in on May 1st. Please check parent connect or request a progress report to see if there is any missing work. Students will continue to work on writing and will begin reading one of the following novels: The Westing Game or Into the Wild. We will have a quiz on the Chapters 1-4 (Either Tues or Wed, April 21 or 22).
All schools will continue to follow M Step Testing & NWEA MAP schedules for the next month.
