Thursday-Dec 19 daily reading logs due & library book return & checkout!

Friday-Dec 20 Progress reports will be entered (we are half-way through the 3rd card marking).

Report cards for the 2nd marking period are coming home with your child today.  Be sure to ask for your copy!  🙂

We will have a short comprehension quiz on Hatchet Friday ~  Chapters 1-8.  Ask your child what the novel is about, have them tell you what they’ve read.  **Remember to bring your library books back Fri, Dec 6th also.  We will return & check out again tomorrow!

It is a new card marking period ~  December 2, 2013 to January 23, 2014.  In this time we will finish up the novel, Hatchet.  We will soon take another SRI reading assessment to guage reading progress.  Please continue to log & check that your child is reading at home daily ~  20 minutes.  The next reading log is due on Thursday, Dec 19.  A new log for the holiday will be sent home at that time.

Please remember to sign & send in your reading logs on Friday, November 22nd!

All students should be reading at home each night for 15 to 20 minutes 🙂

FYI ~ Frayer vocabulary pictures are due on Tuesday, Nov 19.  Also, any missing or late work that needs to be made up can be turned in by the end of the day ~ Friday, November 22nd.

Today we will send home a specific progress report that shows your child’s grade & any missing assignments.  Please check Parent Connect & ask your child if they received a report today.  They will only go to those students who are missing work.
