4th Grade Circle “Dot” Paintings Inspired by Artist Piet Mondrian

We read The Dot by Peter H. Reynolds. Students viewed artwork by Piet Mondrian. We talked about his lines, shapes, and colors. Students made a circle for their “dot” and drew lines to make shapes. Students painted the spaces with primary colors of red, yellow, and blue. Thank you to Lower School Art at Kinkaid Elementary Art Blog for your inspiration.
