Fifth grade students were introduced to the Pop Art Movement.  We looked at artwork by Andy Warhol and Claes Oldenburg.  We looked at emojis and talked about how they are popular right now.  Students created a soft sculpture of an emoji using felt, tacky glue, and fiberfill for stuffing.  Students practiced sewing by making stitches around the edges of their soft sculptures.
