We talked about warm colors and cool colors in second grade.  Students looked at leaf shapes to create a drawing of a leaf.  Students added colors to their leaf drawings using warm color tissue papers.  Warm colors are red, orange, and yellow.  Students created a cool color background for their leaves by making texture rubbings.  Cool colors are blue, green, and purple.
