Reading: Students will ask and answer such questions as who, what, where, when, why, and how to demonstrate understanding of key details in a text.
Math: Students will solve word problems involving dollar bills, quarters, dimes, nickels, and pennies, using $ and ¢ symbols appropriately. For example: If you have 2 dimes and 3 pennies, how many cents do you have? They will learn to count within 1000; skip-count by 5s, 10s, and 100s. We will also solve word problems involving dollar bills, quarters, dimes, nickels, and pennies, using $ and ¢ symbols appropriately. An example would be: If you have 2 dimes and 3 pennies, how many cents do you have? 2NBT.2 Count within 1000; skip-count by 5s, 10s, and 100s.
Writing: Students will work on informational writing. They will work on editing, revising and publishing.
Science: Students will learn about plants and insects. We will be reading to gain knowledge about these topics.
Social Studies: Students will learn about resources to help us understand about the past. They will be looking at an artifcat and discussing what we can learn from it.
