Happy Friday

We worked to finish up the NWEA Science testing today and many students were successful with this.  Later in the day the site was off line so my 4th hour class was delayed and will need to complete their testing at a later date.

The students also had the opportunity to enroll in our class’s iLearn site.

HW – Continue to bring suggested supplies including binders, pens & pencils, paper, facial tissues and ear buds.

Have a great weekend.

Thursday

Today we continued NWEA testing.  Sthe students are settled into the seating chart and the Bellwork procedures when entering the classroom.  I hope to finish up the Science NWEA test tomorrow.  Enjoy this beautiful evening.

Wednesday – First Full Day

All middle school students in the Dearborn Public Schools will be participating in NWEA testing in their core subject areas three times during the school year.  This will take place once in the beginning of the school year, once in the middle and once in the spring near the end of the school year.  We began the Science NWEA today and will continue Thursday and Friday.

Homework – Continue to bring supplies and bring three photographs of yourself.

Tuesday – First Half Day

It was a great first half day.  The students showed up excited, polite and ready to learn.

Several of the students asked about what supplies they might need.  I recommend  a ½ inch thick three ring binder with pockets in the front and back.  If you already have a thicker one that is fine, it is just more for the student to carry around and fit into their locker.  Folders with clips and pockets will work also, but are just harder to work with when trying to be organized.  I do want all of my students be organized so that they have an easier route to success.  If expense is an issue please have the student contact me privately.
