Wednesday – First Full Day

Welcome and lets get started!

Today students learned a few basic classroom procedures including what to do when entering each day (ie. “Bell Ringer” & Daily Agenda).  Students were also introduced to some of the technology sites that we will be using in class this year and enrolled into our “Google Classroom” and “iLearn”.  As you know (because you are reading this) I will also be posting updates on my “iBlog”.  We talked about supplies and what is required for this class.  I am not real picky about how students get organized, but it is very important that they get and stay organized.  Students should show up each day with something to write daily notes on and with.  (Black or blue pens or pencils only please)  They should also have some type of folder to keep handouts and homework organized.  Being organized seems like more work but it actually makes school much easier.

Tuesday

Content Objective
Students will demonstrate knowledge of how humans have impacted the environment by presenting their research with their cooperative learning groups.

E.ES.07.41 Explain how human activities (surface mining, deforestation, overpopulation, construction and urban development, farming, dams, landfills, and restoring natural areas) change the surface of the Earth and affect the survival of organisms.

E.ES.07.42 Describe the origins of pollution in the atmosphere, geosphere, and hydrosphere, (car exhaust, industrial emissions, acid rain, and natural sources), and how pollution impacts habitats, climatic change, threatens or endangers species.

Language Objective
Students will speak to share their Google Slides. presentation to the class.
