Monday, Oct. 16

Today in class the 8th graders gave presentations and had the IXL A.Q.5 on function testing. The IXL can be finished at home if necessary.

Today in class the 6th graders gave presentations. Today’s IXL are 6.X.6 and 7.R.1 on the coordinate plane.  The IXL can be finished at home if necessary.

Thursday, Oct. 12

Today in class the 8th graders gave presentations and began “Advanced Equations Bookwork”. This is homework!

Today in class the 6th graders took an assessment for me to gauge our understanding of unit rates. The IXL is 6.X.2 on coordinate graphing. This can be finished at home if necessary.

 

Tuesday, Oct. 10

Today in class the 8th graders took notes on functions and function notation. Today’s IXL is A.Q.9 about reading function graphs. Please catch up on any old IXL tonight. Tomorrow is the bellwork quiz on multi-step equations.

Today in class the 6th graders completed a table to help solve a real-world unit rate problem, and then continued their presentations. Tonight’s IXL is 4.H.1, a review of input and output tables.

Friday, Oct. 6

Today in class the 8th graders wrote a short essay on the real number system. This was a summative assessment, but was using the notes they have already taken.  Please make sure IXL A.A.8, A.Q.1, and A.Q.2 are completed from earlier this week. There is NO HOMEWORK unless you have missing work!

Today in class the 6th graders learned about reciprocals. Today’s IXL is 6.L.1 on reciprocals. There is NO HOMEWORK unless you have missing work!

Thursday, Oct 5

Today in class the 8th graders had the entire hour to work on their projects, which are due in class tomorrow. The IXL are A.Q.1 and A.Q.2 on domain and range. They will need to be worked on at home over the next day or so.

Today in class the 6th graders had the entire hour to finish their projects, which are due in class tomorrow.  The IXL are 6.I.3 and 6.I.4 on equivalent fractions. They will need to be worked on at home over the next few days or so.

Remember, IXL do not have specific due dates because everyone works at a different pace!

Wednesday, Oct 4

Today in class the 8th graders took notes on relations and diagrams. Tonight’s IXL is A.A.8 on classifying numbers.  Your project is due Friday!

Today in class the 6th graders began creating a slide show to show what they know about unit price. This slide show, “Sale Flyer”, in google classroom, is due Friday. It is NOT homework. We will work on this in class tomorrow.

The 6th graders received the results of their first quiz.

The retake for this quiz will have two dates/times.

Option 1) Tuesday, Oct. 10 7:15-7:45 am

Option 2) Wednesday, Oct 11  3:05-3:35pm

To be eligible for a retake, ALL assignments, including IXL, must be completed and up-to-date.

Students must score below a 90% to take a retake.  All corrections must be made on the back of the quiz.

A parent signature on the original test is also required.
