Today in class th e8th graders were assigned IXL A.V.8 on exponents.  Classwork was “Factoring Pennants” hung up around the room. I will post these in google classroom in case you were absent. We also had some time to work on Friday’s assignment using technology. We have a quiz tomorrow on factoring and using the zero product property. 

Today in class the 6th graders were assigned IXL 6.Z.5 on equations & 6.FF.2 on area. Then we took our quiz on expressions. Please make sure your equations worksheet and all IXL from last week are complete. 

Today in class the 8th graders were assigned IXL A.V.9 on exponents. Please finish this over the weekend. Classwork was using the TiNspire calculator to find solutions to quadratic functions.  This must be done in class to use the calculator.

Today in class the 6th graders were assigned IXL 6.Z.4 on using algebra tiles to write equations.

3/4th hours took notes on solving equations and were assigned “One Step Equations” in google classroom. Finish this at home if necessary.

6th hour continued to practice solving equations in, “p. 390-391” in google classroom. Finish this at home if necessary.

6th graders have a quiz Monday on expressions (translating verbal phrases into algebraic expressions, combining like terms, the distributive property, and evaluating using substitution.)

Today was the 8th grade Science M-STEP. There is no new assignment for math. We are checking Monday’s assignment tomorrow.

Today in class the 6th graders were assigned IXL 6.Z.2 on solutions.

3/4th hours were assigned, “Advanced Expressions”, and should complete this at home.

6th hour was assigned, “One Step Equations Worksheets,” to do on paper.

Today in class the 8th graders were assigned IXL A.BB.6 on the zero product property.  Classwork was also practicing the ZPP on the “Big Old Factoring Worksheet,” which we will check on Thursday. Tomorrow is the M-STEP for Social Studies.

3&4 hours had classwork called, “Solutions Independent Practice,” which will need to be completed at home.

6th hour had classwork called, “Equation Sentences,” which may be finished at home if necessary.

Today in class the 8th graders were assigned IXL A.AA.4 on factoring.  We took notes and began the classwork called, “Zero Product Property,” which some may need to finish at home.

Today in class the 6th graders were assigned IXL 6.Y.10 on the distributive property.

3&4th hour began their “Distributive Property Bookwork,” which they will need to complete at home.

6th hour had a worksheet called, “Solutions Independent Practice,” which is due Monday. It is also scanned into Google classroom in case you are absent from school.

Today in class the 8th graders were assigned IXL A.DD.3 on domain and range.  Classwork was called, “Factoring Trinomials #2”, which most students completed in class.

Today in class the 6th graders were assigned IXL 6.Z.3 on writing equations.

3 & 4th hour watched a video and took notes on the distributive property and had assignment called, “Distributive Property Worksheet,” in google classroom, which you may complete at home if need be.

6th hour was assigned “Distributive Property Bookwork”, which you may complete at home if need be.

Today in class the 8th graders were assigned IXL A.X.3 on domain and range of functions.  Classwork was called Factoring Trinomials, and is due tomorrow.

Today in class the 6th graders were assigned IXL 6.Y.14 on combining like terms.

3rd & 4th hours were assigned “Combining Like Terms with Variables” and the back of their vocabulary chart worksheet.

6th hour watched a video and took notes on the distributive property and had assignment called, “Distributive Property Worksheet,” in google classroom.

Today was PSAT fo the 8th graders. Please make sure the CERS from before break are completed by tomorrow!

The only 6th grade class that met for math today was 6th hour. They were assigned IXL 6.Y.5 on substitution, and had two assignments for classwork, “Combining Like Terms with Variables,” and to complete the back side of the vocabulary worksheet from before break.

Today in class the 8th graders were assigned IXL A.CC.1 on function graphs, and then given about 20 minutes to work on Friday’s classwork.  Please complete Friday’s assignment before class on Wednesday, since tomorrow is PSAT testing.

Today in class the 6th graders were assigned IXL 6.Y.4 on substitution, and then we watched videos and took notes on combining like terms. You have no homework.
