Thursday, Dec. 17

6th graders are working on order of operations using exponents. The homework is in Google classroom, p.68 (1-12). Most students completed this after they finished the common assessment.

7th graders are working on percent applications. We completed the worksheet, “Markup, Discount, and Tax” in class unless we wasted time or chose not to work.  Only a few students need to finish this at home.

Tuesday, Dec. 15

6th graders took their common assessment today. No homework!

7th graders have no homework because they have a quiz tomorrow on the distributive property and combining like terms.  Some students may need to finish a question or two from today’s classwork.

Wednesday is a LATE START!

Monday, Dec 14

6th grade Common Assessment is Wednesday & Thursday in class. Students received the study guide last week with answers corrected in class.  Homework for tonight is called “Exponents Review” in google classroom.

7th graders are working on combining like terms. Quiz is Wednesday on like terms and the Distributive Property.  HW is IXL 8.S.10 & 8.S.9 to prepare for the quiz.

 

RETAKE REMINDER: retakes for 6.G.4 & 7.G.5 will be held Tuesday AM or Thursday PM. No missing assignments and bring the test signed by a parent.

Friday, Dec. 11

6th graders took a quiz in class. Homework is p. 30 Order of Operations (in Google Classroom). Everybody started it in class, some even finished!

7th graders are making a sale flyer for discounted items in class. It was classwork, but some may need to finish it at home. It is due electronically Monday.  Please complete IXL Proportions 7.J.9 & 7.L.5 by Monday.

RETAKES Next Week

Next week I will be offering retakes Tuesday morning or Thursday after school for both 6th and 7th graders.  The 6th grade retake is on6.G.4 Surface Area.  The 7th grade retake is on 7.G.5 Angle Equations.

Student need to bring their original test signed by a parent/guardian to be eligible. You MUST make corrections to your test and have NO MISSING ASSIGNMENTS!

 

Thursday, Dec. 10

6th graders completed a study guide together in class to prepare them for tomorrow’s quiz and next week’s common assessment. They are finishing up IXL 6.K.6 to prepare for tomorrow’s quiz on volume with fractions.

7th graders found discounts in class and have less than 10 problems to finish at home.
