Tuesday, Nov 15

Today in class the 8th graders used slope to identify parallel and perpendicular lines. Homework is to finish Task 3 of your Water park project on slope.

Today in class the 6th graders took brief review notes on prime and composite numbers, factors, and GCF.  Please finish IXL 6. Y.12 and 6.Y.14 at home if necessary. Make sure your Table of Specs is ready for class tomorrow.

 

Monday, Nov. 14

Today in class the 8th graders began their unit project on linear functions. Please only complete task 1 and 2 tonight. We will continue to work on this all week.

Today in class the 6th graders reviewed simplifying variable expressions with a partner. Please complete the “Table of Specs” for your 3D project for class tomorrow.

Friday, Nov 11

Today the 8th graders checked their work by graphing parallel and perpendicular lines. Finish your graphs at home if you need. Please make sure yesterday’s IXL 8.Y.11 is completed to 95-100%

Today in class the 6th graders worked on their park project for the volume of Prisms. This is NOT due Monday. We will work on it in class more Monday.

Wednesday, Nov 9

Today in class the 8th graders took notes on the relationships between parallel and perpendicular lines. They began in class but need to complete the Parallel and Perpendicular Lines#1 Worksheet and IXL 8.Y.11 at home.

Today in class the 6th graders took a quiz on area formulas for triangles and special quadrilaterals. Homework is Volume #7 in google classroom. Show your work for all 4 problems on 1/2 sheet of paper.

RETAKES WILL BE HELD AFTER SCHOOL TODAY OR BEFORE SCHOOL TOMORROW.

 

Monday, Nov 7

Today in class the 8th graders investigated parallel and perpendicular linear functions. Finish the investigation questions at home!

Today in class the 6th graders reviewed area of special quadrilaterals for Wednesday’s quiz on area formulas (no decomposing).

Wayne County Regional Enhancement Education Millage Proposal

 

School districts in Wayne County have placed a proposal on the November 8th ballot to provide added funding for our schools. It is the “Regional Enhancement Millage Proposal.”

If approved by the entire county, the 2 mil proposal will generate approximately $6.2 million from Dearborn but the District will receive $7.8 million in additional funding for our schools.  Money would go to local schools starting this year and the millage expires after six years.  Continue reading

Friday, Nov. 4

Today in class the 8th graders took a quiz on SIF. Please finish IXL A.S.21 to 90-95% and make sure lasts week’s A.Z.6 is at 95%

Today in class the 6th graders are reviewing area for Wednesday’s quiz. Today’s classwork was Parallelogram Area WS and Area of Parallelograms and Trapezoids #2. You may finish anything at home if you need.
