Today in class the 8th graders practiced finding regression lines and the correlation coefficient on the calculator. No homework!

*Retakes are tomorrow before school and Friday after school.

Today in class the 6th graders solved real-world problems applying volume and surface area. Today’s IXL is 7.S.1.  Please finish what you need to at home.

Tuesday, Jan 10

Today in class the 8th graders are learning about solutions to systems of equations. Homework is “Systems Practice #1”.

Today in class the 6th graders are learning about solutions of equations and inequalities. Please finish IXL 6.Z.1 and 6.Z.2 at home if you need to!

Monday, Jan 9

Today in class the 8th graders are graphing linear systems. Homework is to finish the classwork, “Analyzing Graphs” worksheet.

Today in class the 6th graders are simplifying expression using the order of operations, exponents, and variables. Homework is to finish the classwork, “Expressions Practice 1&2” if necessary.

Friday, Dec. 23

Today in class the 8th graders practiced writing equations in Point-Slope Form. The IXL is A.S.22. I have posted the study guide part 1 for the midterm exam. It is due Jan. 9. The midterm will take place at the beginning of February.

The 6th graders did not have class because of the Instrumental Music concert.

Enjoy the Break!

Thursday, Dec. 22

Today in class the 8th graders wrote equations for best fit lines on IXL A.KK.12. The bookwork assignment is called, “Exponents Mixed Review”. You can finish anything you need at home. Do not stress about the IXL, you can finish it over break.

Today in class the 6th graders found volume of triangular prisms. IXL is 6.D.10. Finish what you need to at home.

Tuesday, Dec 20

Today the 8th graders used a graphing calculator to graph a scatter plot. Class work is in google classroom called, “SP #2,17,1-15,35-38”.  Today’s IXL is 8.F.8 on negative exponents.

Today the 6th graders took the district common assessment on geometry. Please finish Designing Boxes tonight.

Monday, Dec. 19

Today in class the 8th graders learned about correlation coefficients. The Scatter Plot bookwork was started in class and should be finished at home.

Today in class the 6th graders compared volume and surface area of 2 boxes and wrote a CER to support their claim. The CER is due WEDNESDAY! Tomorrow is the district common assessment on volume and surface area. You can practice old IXLs on volume and surface area if you wish to study.
