Friday, Feb. 14

Today in class the 8th graders had time to complete yesterday’s IXL A.Q.3 (95) on types of variables. Then in class we completed Bookwork #1-21 on naming polynomials. We watched a quick video on polynomial operations before beginning IXL 8.V.16 (95). Your homework is only if you need to complete the IXL. Test corrections for the last quiz are due the day we get back from break.

Today in class the 6th graders were assigned IXL 6.CC.8 on graphing polygons. Then we checked yesterday’s worksheet and took our quiz on integers. Your homework is to complete missing IXL.

Today in class the 7th graders were assigned IXL 8.Z.9 from yesterday to complete to (90). Then we took our quiz on constant of variation. Your homework is to complete, “Comparing Speeds.” Test corrections for the last quiz are due the day we get back from break.

Thursday, Feb. 13

Today in class th e8th graders worked on IXL A.T.5 (90) from earlier this week, and began IXL A.Q.3 (95) on types of variables. Then they watched a video and took notes on polynomials. Your only homework is IXL or test corrections.

Today in class the 6th graders were assigned IXL 6.DD.8 (95) on reflections. Then we took notes on the order of operations. Classwork/homework is the worksheet called, “Order of Operations 1&2.” You have a quiz tomorrow on integers and the coordinate plane.

Today in class the 7th graders were assigned IXL 8.X.9 (95) on graphing functions. Then we took notes on angle relationships. You have a quiz tomorrow on proportional relationships.

Wednesday, Feb. 12

Today was the midterm exam for Algebra 1. There is no homework unless you have missing work, which is due by Friday!

Today in 6th grade the IXL is 6.P.4 (100) on absolute value. Then we checked yesterday’s orange packet study guide for Friday’s quiz. Students worked in pair to complete pgs. 150-159 of their math book. There is no homework unless you have missing work, which is due by Friday!

Today in 7th grade the bellwork is called, “Peaches & Plums.” Then we worked in small groups to complete the unit rate pennants to prepare for Friday’s quiz. We will check yesterday’s green packet tomorrow. Please finish any pennants at home.

Tuesday, Feb. 11

Today in 8th grade, class was a review day for the final exam. We practiced IXL A.KK.13 (75) on scatter plots and A.T.6 (90) on systems of inequalities. Then we got back yesterday’s quiz to make corrections. We worked with partners to find our mistakes. Tomorrow’s final is during 1-2 hours, do NOT be late!

Today in 6th grade we were assigned IXL 6.P.7 (95) on number lines. Then some of us needed to continue or iReady diagnostic, while others started the orange packet study guide for Friday’s quiz.

Today in7th grade we were assigned IXL 8.I.1 (95) on . Then some of us needed to continue or iReady diagnostic, while others started the green packet study guide for Friday’s quiz.

Monday, Feb. 10

Today in class the 8th graders took their quiz on systems of equations and inequalities. Please get all missing IXL completed by FRIDAY! Your midterm exam is Wednesday at 7:45am.

Today in class the 6th graders were assigned, “It’s Warmer in Miami,” as bellwork. Then we continued the iReady diagnostic. Those who are finished moved on to integer book work. The integer quiz is Friday! You will get a study guide tomorrow.

Today in class the 7th graders were assigned, “Ch. 11 p. 104-110 WS” as bellwork. Then we continued the iReady diagnostic. We will check this tomorrow. The constant of proportionality quiz is Friday! You will get a study guide tomorrow.

Friday, Feb. 7

Today in class the 8th graders were assigned IXL A.KK.11 (75) using the calculator to find r. Then we checked yesterday’s classwork. We began an investigation into systems of parallel and perpendicular lines, please complete this over the weekend if you need.

Today in class the 6th graders were assigned IXL 6.M.9 (95) on absolute value word problems. Then they continued/finished the iReady diagnostic test. Classwork for some (homework for others) is called, “Juneau, Alaska.Quiz corrections for students who scored lower than a B- have been assigned in Google Classroom and they are required to make corrections by FRIDAY, FEB. 14!

Today in clas the 7th graders were given more time to complete IXL 8.Z.7 (95). Then we took our quiz on solving equations. Those with spare time continued the iReady diagnostic. Homework is to complete any missing work!

Thursday, Feb. 6

Today in class the 8th graders were assigned IXL 8.CC.16 (100) on reading scatter plots. Classwork was, “Elimination & Substitution Pennants.” We will check this tomorrow. Our quiz on solving systems of equations and inequalities is Monday! Our Midterm is Wednesday!

Today in class the 6th graders were assigned IXL 6.M.8 & 7.B.4 (100) on absolute value. Then we continued the iReady diagnostic test. Students received their Lesson 11 quiz back and we talked about who is eligible to make corrections, due by next Friday.

Today in class the 7th graders were assigned IXL 8.Z.7 (95) on substitution & had time to work on yesterday’s 8.I.10 (90). Then we continued the iReady diagnostic test. Homework is to finish IXL. Tomorrow is your quiz on equations!

Wednesday. Feb. 5

Today in class the 8th graders had time to catch up on old IXLs, check yesterday’s study Guide, and the classwork was called. “US Garbage.” You may finish this tomorrow in class if you need the calculator.

Today in class the 6th graders were assigned IXL 6.M.4 (100) on absolute value. Then we spent the hour beginning the iReady Diagnostic test for the district. You have no homework.

Today in class the 7th graders were were given time to complete missing IXL. We also checked yesterday’s worksheet on equations. Then we spent the hour beginning the iReady Diagnostic test for the district. Homework = missing work due Monday!
