Today in class the 8th graders were assigned IXL A.CC.1 (100) on identifying graphs. Then we took notes on exponential functions and had one worksheet to complete at home.

Today in class the 6th graders were assigned IXL 6.Y.16 (95) on simplifying expressions. Then we worked with partners to complete Combining Like Terms Orange Task Cards. They are posted in google classroom incase you were absent.

Today in class the 7th graders were assigned “Two Truth One Lie,” for bellwork. Then classwork/homework was “Inequality Bookwork #13-39 ODDS.”

Monday, March 9

Today in class the 8th graders were assigned IXL A.Z.6 (95) on the distributive property with exponents and polynomials. Classwork was an investigation comparing linear, exponential, and quadratic functions. This should be completed at home if necessary.

Today in class the 6th graders chose their electives for next year with Mr. Kemian, the counselor. You can email him with any questions regarding scheduling. Classwork was “Combining Like Terms Pennants,” around the room. Then we worked with partners on, “Distributive Property Practice,” which is due tomorrow.

Today in class the 7th graders were given more time to complete IXL 7.T.6 (95) on inequalities. Then we checked last week’s worksheets before beginning the classwork, “Multi-Step Inequalities Worksheet.”

Friday, March 6

Today in class the 8th graders were assigned IXL A.CC (95) on linear & exponential tables. Then we took our quiz on exponent rules. Classwork or homework is called, “Bacteria Pt. 2.”

Today in class the 6th graders were assigned IXL 6.N.8 & 6.N.10 (95) on integer rules. Then we worked on p. 166-170 in our math books. I hope everyone enjoyed the field trip!

Today in class the 7th graders were given time to continue IXL 7.T.6 (95) on inequalities. Classwork was the worksheet, “Angles & Equations.

Thursday, March 5

Today in class the 8th graders were assigned IXL A.X.1 on exponential functions (90). Then we continued to apply exponent rules during class. Tomorrow is your open note quiz on the first three exponent properties.

Today in clas the 6th grade was assigned IXL 6.Y.15 (95) on combining like terms. Then we took our quiz on the order of operations. You should not have homework. Remember to dress warm for tomorrow’s field trip and bring boots!

Today in class the 7th grades were assigned IXL 7.T.6 on two step inequalities (95). Then we checked yesterday’s worksheets and continued working on angle problems. Classwork/Homework is the assignments, “Vertical Angles #2,” and, “Angles WS 1-4.”

Wednesday, March 4

Today in class the 8th graders worked on IXL A.Y.2 & A.V.3 (95) on exponent properties. Classwork was called “Linear or Exponential CERS.Homework is to finish the worksheet, “Exponent Practice Problems,” to prepare for our next quiz.

Today in class the 6th graders were assigned IXL 6.Y (95) on visual algebraic models. Then we checked yesterday’s worksheet. Today’s classwork/homework is the worksheet called, “Combining Like Terms Codebreaker.” Your quiz on order of operations is tomorrow!

Today in clas the 7th graders had more time to work on IXL 7.T.4 & 7.T.5 (95) on inequalities. Then we worked on two worksheets about solving equations to find missing angles. We will check these tomorrow.

Tuesday, Mar 3

Today in class the 8th graders were assigned IXL A.V.4 & A.Y.2 on exponent rules (95). Then we worked on an assignment about doubling bacteria growth. Finish up IXL at home if you need to.

Today in class the 6th graders were assigned IXL 6.O.10 on integer operations. Then we worked in pairs to complete, “Evaluating Variable Expressions,” using the order of operations. Your Quiz is Thursday!

Today in class the 7th graders were assigned IXL 7.T.4 & 7.T.5 on one step inequalities (95). Then we worked solved, “Sports Equipment,” and graphed the solutions. Please complete the IXL at home.

Monday, March 2

Today in class th e8th graders were assigned IXL 8.F.6 (95) & 8.BB.6 (95) on exponent properties. Classwork was, “Algebra Phones,” to compare two functions, one linear and one exponential, to compare growth.

Today in class the 6th graders were assigned IXL 6.Y.7 (95) on vocabulary. Then we solved order of operations problems on a scavenger hunt. The back of the worksheet is an order of operations maple leaf. We will check this tomorrow!

Today in class the 7th graders were assigned IXL 7.T.4 (95) on inequalities. Today’s classwork was called, “Angle Problems#2.” These are due tomorrow.

Friday, Feb. 28

Today in class the 8th graders were given time to work on Monday’s IXL A.Z.4 & A.Z.5, and today’s IXL A.Y.1 (95) on identifying monomials. Then we took notes in our INB on exponent properties. Your homework for the weekend is to complete all three IXL!.

Today in class the 6th graders were assigned IXL 6.Z (95) on equations & expressions. Then we took notes in our INB on algebra vocabulary. Your homework for the weekend is to complete missing IXL.

Today in class the 7th graders were given time to finish IXL 7.W.9 (bring it up to 90) and begin IXL 7.T.1 (95) on inequalities. Then we completed “Fishing Adventures,” on inequalities and classwork/homework was called, “Angle Problems#1.”

Tuesday, Feb. 25

Today in class the 8th graders were assigned IXL A.Z.5 on perimeter and simplifying expressions. Then we read a picture book that shows patterns of exponential growth and decay to begin our next unit. Classwork is called, “Two Truths One Lie,” in GC.

Today in class the 6th graders were told to complete IXL 6.Y.5 from yesterday before continuing the pennants from yesterday. If you did not finish them at school, they are posted in google classroom to complete at home.

Today in class the 7th graders took notes on solving and graphing inequalities. Then then had time to work on yesterday’s IXL 7.W.17 (85) & 6.CC.16 (85), and today’s IXL 7.W.9 (90) on angle measures.

Monday, Feb. 24

Today in class the 8th graders were assigned IXL A.Z.4 (95) on adding & subtracting polynomials. Classwork was bookwork #21-41,49-50 on the same topic. We will check this tomorrow before beginning our new unit on exponential functions! Homework is to complete IXL A.Z.4.

Today in class the 6th graders were assigned IXL 6.Y.5 (95) on variables. Then we began the order of operations pennants with negative numbers. We will continue this in class tomorrow. Homework is to complete the IXL 6.Y.5.

Today in class the 7th graders were playing catch-up trying to complete work from before the break:( They were assigned an iReady interactive about inequalities. Today’s IXL are 7.W.17 (85) & 6.CC.16 (85) on angle relationships.
