Today the 8th graders did not have math class because of practice for tomorrow’s promotion ceremony.

Today in class the 6th graders were assigned IXL 5.V.9 on reading graphs.  Then we continued working on the geometry project, which is NOT homework and is due by Friday. We will work on this in class tomorrow so it will not have to be homework for anyone.

*ALL MISSING WORK, TEST CORRECTIONS & IXL ARE DUE BY 2:15 TOMORROW!

Today in class the 8th graders retook their final:) No homework.

Today in class the 6th graders were assigned IXL 6.BB.7 on equations.  Then we had time to make quiz corrections, which are due tomorrow by 2:15pm. Classwork is called, “Geometry Project,” which we will continue to work on in class.  Your only homework is to complete missing work or corrections.

Today in class the 8th graders had a work day to do the following:

IXL A.BB.1, 8.Z.1, & A.F.16, complete any absent work from last week, and to study for tomorrow’s final exam retake.

*If you do not want your child to retake the “for credit” math test because they will not be attending Dearborn schools next year and don’t need that credit, you need to put it in writing! Email me or write me a letter.

Today in class the 6th graders were assigned IXL 6.BB.4 on equations. Then they were given back their lesson 20-21 quizzes to make corrections.

*ALL MISSING WORK, INCLUDING IXL AND TEST CORRECTIONS ARE DUE BY 2:15 WEDNESDAY! NO EXCEPTIONS!

I will not be at school on Thursday June 6 & Friday June 7 because I will be on the Chicago Trip.

I will not be posting those days.

I have given all students who are going on the trip their assignments so they can do them over this weekend.  Please do not wait until we return because you will have one more assignment in google classroom to complete that will be posted on Thursday June 6.

Today in class the 8th graders were assigned IXL A.BB.5 to solutions.  Classwork was called “Vertex & Axis of Symmetry” and should have been completed in class.

Today in class the 6th graders were assigned IXL 6.BB.2 on variables. Then we took our quiz!

*All students going on the Chicago trip were given the work they will miss. We will check this when we return from the trip.

Today in class the 8th graders took their final exam. You have no homework:)

Today in class the 6th graders were assigned IXL 5.V.7 on substitution.  Then we checked yesterday’s orange packet.  Classwork was to watch and complete the inequalities interactive in google classroom. Tomorrow is your quiz on inequalities and variables.

Today in class the 8th graders were assigned IXL A2.T.5 on the axis of symmetry.  Classwork for 1st hour was called “Gone Fishing,” but was not assigned to 2nd hour because of the assembly.  The math final is tomorrow! Tomorrow is the LAST DAY to turn in anything that is on the final exam, other than IXL. 

Today in class the 6th graders were assigned IXL 6.EE.2 on 3D figures. Then we checked yesterday’s worksheet and had all class to complete the orange packet for lesson 21. Please finish this at home if necessary.  Test corrections on Lesson 22-23 are due Friday! There will be a quiz Friday on inequalities and variables. You may use your orange packets to study.

Today in class the 8th graders were assigned IXL 8.F.15 on square roots. Then we checked the exponent review for the final exam. Classwork was literal equations pennants that you may finish up at home if necessary. The final exam is on Thursday during first hour, do not be late!

Today in class the 6th graders were assigned IXL 5.DD.2 on 3-D figures. Then we got back our quiz from last week to make corrections in class.  They are due by Friday.  Classwork was the worksheet called, “Variable Independent Practice”, which we will check tomorrow. 

Today in class the 8th graders were assigned IXL 8.F.13 on exponents.  Then we checked the quadratic study guide. Classwork was called, “Exponent Review” for the final exam. Finish it at home if necessary.  We will check this Tuesday.  The final exam is NEXT Thursday.

Today in class the 6th graders were assigned IXL 6.EE.3 on nets of polyhedron. Then we checked yesterday’s bookwork. Classwork was to watch the video, “Algebra Interactives,” on types of variables.  You have no homework unless you didn’t watch the video. 

Today in class the 8th graders were assigned IXL A.BB.7 to find the solutions to a quadratic function. Then we checked the quadratic study guide pt. 1.  Classwork was the quadratic study guide pt. 2. We will check this tomorrow.

Today in class the 6th graders were assigned IXL 5.DD.1 on 3-D figures. Then they took the area quiz. Classwork/homework is called, “Inequalities Bookwork #12-23,34-37”. We will check this tomorrow.
