Today in class the 8th graders were assigned IXL A.Q.11 on reading graphs. Then they checked yesterday’s assignment, watched a short video on functions and answered questions about it. Tests were returned and students who scored lower than an A- are eligible to make corrections in google classroom until next Friday.

Today in class the 6th graders were assigned IXL 6.R.12 on proportions. You may use a calculator to divide. Then they were given a performance task similar to yesterday’s to complete on their own about graphing equivalent ratios. This is NOT homework, it was due before the end of class!

7th grade did not have math because of their field trip.

Thursday, Oct. 3

Today in class the 8th graders were assigned IXL AQ6 on reading graphs. Then we discussed the answers to yesterday’s assignment on function testing. Students worked with partners to complete the assignment on paper called, “Real Life Graph & Questions.” Please finish what you need at home.

Today in class the 6th graders were assigned IXL 6.V.2 on unit price using a calculator. Classwork was an activity called, “Pack & Ship,” where we made ratio tables and graphed our real-world data.

Today in class the 7th graders were assigned IXL 7.R.5 on evaluating expressions with integers. Then they completed work on multiplying and dividing integers from their Ready math book in google slides called, “Lesson 4”. Finish what you need of IXL 7.R.4 & 7.R.5 at home with no calculator!

Wednesday, Oct 2

Today in class the 8th graders were assigned IXL A.Q.9 on reading graphs. Classwork was called, “Function Testing,” and should have been completed in class. You should not have any homework today:)

Today in class the 6th graders were asked to complete yesterdays’ IXL 6.R.11 on unit rates. Then they worked in pairs to complete their Ready p. 22-27. You only have homework if you need to complete the IXL.

Today in class the 7th graders had an independent catch up day. The order of assignments was as follows: IXL 7.C.18 from yesterday, finish “Distance Between Houses,” complete the worksheet on lesson 6, and then IXL 7.R.4 on substitution of integers. Homework is whatever step you left off at!
