Thursday, Oct. 3

Today in class the 8th graders were assigned IXL AQ6 on reading graphs. Then we discussed the answers to yesterday’s assignment on function testing. Students worked with partners to complete the assignment on paper called, “Real Life Graph & Questions.” Please finish what you need at home.

Today in class the 6th graders were assigned IXL 6.V.2 on unit price using a calculator. Classwork was an activity called, “Pack & Ship,” where we made ratio tables and graphed our real-world data.

Today in class the 7th graders were assigned IXL 7.R.5 on evaluating expressions with integers. Then they completed work on multiplying and dividing integers from their Ready math book in google slides called, “Lesson 4”. Finish what you need of IXL 7.R.4 & 7.R.5 at home with no calculator!

Wednesday, Oct 2

Today in class the 8th graders were assigned IXL A.Q.9 on reading graphs. Classwork was called, “Function Testing,” and should have been completed in class. You should not have any homework today:)

Today in class the 6th graders were asked to complete yesterdays’ IXL 6.R.11 on unit rates. Then they worked in pairs to complete their Ready p. 22-27. You only have homework if you need to complete the IXL.

Today in class the 7th graders had an independent catch up day. The order of assignments was as follows: IXL 7.C.18 from yesterday, finish “Distance Between Houses,” complete the worksheet on lesson 6, and then IXL 7.R.4 on substitution of integers. Homework is whatever step you left off at!

Tuesday, Oct. 1

Today in class the 8th graders took their first assessment on functions and inequalities. IXL was A.Q.5 on the vertical line test. Please finish this at home if you need.

Today in class the 6th graders were assigned IXL 6.R.11 on unit rate. Many did not finish yesterday’s IXL 6.R.10 on ratios. Then they worked in pairs to complete “Word Problems #1-4” on graph paper and a few pages in their Ready math book. Please complete your IXL at home tonight.

Today in class the 7th graders took their first quiz on integer operations. Please complete, “Distance Between Houses,” from yesterday for homework.
