There will be a quiz on what we have been doing in class. I do not expect anyone to “study”, this quiz will let me know what students understand without having to “study”.

Today in class the 7th graders began their Halloween geometry project on transformations and worked on it all hour. There is no due date yet. Homework is to make sure your ordered pairs are completed!

Friday, Oct. 11

Today in class the 8th graders were assigned IXL A.A.8 on classifying sums of rational and irrational numbers. Then we checked yesterday’s assignment. Today’s classwork was, “Finding Slope with Two Points,” and no one should have any homework!

Today in 3rd hour, the 6th graders had time to continue IXL 7.M.5 on unit price. Then they completed an interactive video from our Ready Common Core math book. *Since 4th hour did not meet, you should not have any homework unless you still need to complete IXL 7.M.5.

Thursday, OCt 10

Today in class the 8th graders were given more time to complete IXL A.Q.10 on function tables. Then they watched a video on calculating rate of change from tables. The classwork worksheet was called, “Finding Slope Practice”, which we will check tomorrow. Test Corrections are due Tomorrow by 10:30am!

Today in class the 6th graders were assigned 7.M.5 on unit price. Then they were given informational text on the real world implications of rates along with some questions to answer. This is due Friday for 3rd hour and Monday for 4th hour because I will not see them tomorrow.

Today in class the 7th graders were assigned IXL 7.X.4 on translation, rotation, and reflection. Most of the class did not have their homework done, so we could not begin the Halloween project. We had to have a catch up work day today.

Wednesday, Oct. 9

Today in class the 8th graders made a concept map about measuring slope. Please complete the old IXL A.Q.10 at home!

Today in class the 6th graders worked with partners to complete pages 30-39 in their math books. Homework is to make sure IXL 6.V.3 on unit price is complete!
