Monday, Sept. 30

Today in class the 8th graders were assigned IXL AQ7 on evaluating functions, and answered questions in the assignment, “The Bike Ride,” about rate of change. You have a quiz tomorrow on the things we have been doing in class lately: solving inequalities, identifying functions, and evaluating functions.

Today in class the 6th graders were assigned IXL 6.R.10 on comparing ratios. They also worked with partners to complete the worksheet, “Tape Diagrams #1&2.” Please finish the IXL at home!

Today in class the 7th graders were assigned IXL 7.C.18 on integers, “Distance Between Houses,” about negative fractions. We will continue this after tomorrow’s quiz on adding & subtracting integers. Please finish the IXL at home.

Friday, Sept. 27

Today in class the 8th graders were assigned asked to complete IXL A.Q.2 from yesterday & IXL A.Q.4 (most just needed to finish this from last year.) Classwork was called, “Tic Tac Toe Evaluating Functions”, and you may complete it this weekend if needed. Remember, your project is due by midnight tonight.

Today in class the 6th graders were assigned IXL 6.R.9 on equivalent rates. Classwork was called, “Ticket Booth,” which you may need to complete at home.

Today in class the 7th graders were assigned IXL 7.C.? on dividing integers. Then we completed 4 pages from the Ready math book (in worksheet form) called, “Additional Fluency Practice,” and,”Lesson 2 Practice.” Both are also scanned into google classroom in case you lost yours. Complete what you need at home. Remember, your project is due by midnight tonight.

Thursday, Set. 26

Today in class the 8th graders were assigned IXL A.Q.2 on domain and range. They watched a video to review functions and then had some time to continue the project that is due Tomorrow!

Today in class the 6th graders were assigned IXL 6.R.7 on equivalent ratios. Then they worked in pairs to complete Understanding Unit Rate p.14-17 in their Ready math book. You should finish the IXL at home!

Today in class the 7th graders were assigned IXL 7.C.16 & 7.C.17 on integer multiplication and division. Classwork was called, “College Bookstore,” and it on adding positive and negative decimals. Your project is due tomorrow and you should finish the IXL at home if you need!

Wednesday, Sept. 25

Today in class the 8th graders were given more time to complete yesterday’s IXL A.Q.1 on relation mapping. They also had the hour to work on their project. This is due Friday, to account for a few absences:) The last day it will be accepted is Monday.

Today in class the 6th graders were assigned IXL 6.R.8 on unit rates using calculator. Then we did the assignment, “Buying LAundry Detergent,” a CER paragraph about unit price. These are due tomorrow!

Today in class the 7th graders watched a short video to review integer operations and took notes in their notebook. Then they had the rest of the hour to complete their “Math Game Project.” This is due Friday, to account for a few absences:) The last day it will be accepted is Monday.

Tuesday, Sept. 24

Today in class the 8th graders were assigned IXL AQ1 on relation mapping. Then they began a group project on matching different representations of a function. Please complete the IXL at home!

Today in class the 6th graders were assigned IXL 6.F.9 on using a calculator to convert a fraction to a decimal. Then we took notes and did some pages in our Ready math book. Please complete the IXL at home!

Today in class the 7th graders were given extra time to complete IXL 7.C.11 from yesterday. Then they had all hour to continue their math game project. We will work on this in class tomorrow, and then it becomes homework! Please complete the IXL at home!

Monday, Sept. 23

Today in class the 8th graders had an assignment called, “High Tides,” where they analyzed a real-world graph. Then we took notes to review function models. There is no homework unless you have to finish last week’s IXL.

Today in class the 6th graders were assigned IXL 6.G.2 on decimal word problems( no calculator). Class work was called, “Frosting Cupcakes.” Homework is to complete today’s IXL 6.G.2.

*6th grade parents…PLEASE make sure you are checking parent connect to keep up on your student’s missing work. Ms. Beth in the office will have your password if you do not know it.

Today in class the 7th graders were assigned IXL 7.C.11 on integers. Please finish this at home. We began our first project called, “Math Game”. We will continue it in class tomorrow.

Friday, Sep. 20

Today in class the 8th graders continued working on IXL A.K.8 which is due Monday! They also continued yesterday’s assignment with partners, “Solving Inequalities with the Distributive Property”. We will check this Monday.

Today in class the 6th graders were given time to work on IXL 6.G.4 which is due Monday! Today, make sure you turn in BOTH the “Evidence & Evaluation of Critique”, and “Creating Examples of Ratios”. The LAST possible day to turn them in is MONDAY!

7th grade (5th hour) did not meet today.

Thursday, Sept. 19

SUMMER IXL ARE DUE BY MIDNIGHT ON FRIDAY! EMAIL ME:)

Today in class the 8th graders worked with partners to solve inequalities with the distributive property. We will continue this in class tomorrow. Homework is to make sure IXL A.K.7 & A.K.8 are complete.

Today in class the 6th graders critiqued their work from yesterday on creating ratios. Homework is to complete IXL 6.G.4 on decimal operations. No calculator!

Today in class the 7th graders worked at their own pace to complete IXL 7.C.10 on integer equations. They had a reflection question to answer in their journal and a worksheet on using number lines to add & subtract integers. Please finish what you need at home tonight.

Wednesday, Sep. 18

Today in class the 8th graders worked in groups to solve multi-step inequalities task cards. These, as well as IXL A.K.6 & A.K.7 from Monday are due tomorrow!

Today in class the 6th graders worked to create their own ratios in, “Creating Examples of Ratios,” in google classroom and were assigned IXL 6.G.1 to review decimal operations. Finish whatever you need at home, they are due tomorrow.

Today in class the 7th graders completed p. 12-13 #2-10 from Ready Common Core in google classroom. IXL is 7.C.10 on integer equations. Please finish anything up at home, these are due tomorrow.

Tuesday, Sep. 17

Today was the Language NWEA test. 8th graders have no new work. Please make sure summer IXL are completed.

Tonight the 6th graders need to complete 6.X.2 at home, it was assigned Monday and is due tomorrow.

Today in class the 7th graders had a work day to complete yesterday’s assignments. Their new IXL is 7.C.8 on integer chips.
