Today was the reading NWEA test. There are no new assignments.

8th grade: The last day I will accept the slideshow (from last Friday, was due Tuesday) is Wednesday by midnight!

Tomorrow is the math NWEA.

Today in class the 8th graders were assigned IXL 8.F.12 on exponents. Then they had the hour to finish up Friday’s slideshow assignment and begin the Exponential Study Guide for May 30th’s final exam. We will check this Friday after NWEA testing.

If you will be out of town on May 30, please let me know ASAP because I will have to schedule someone to come proctor your final exam early for you!

Today in class the 6th graders were assigned IXL 4.BB.14 on area and perimeter real world problems.  They took notes about inequalities in their notebooks and then worked on the orange packet for lesson 20, which is due Friday after NWEA testing. Students got their quizzes back today and have 1 week to make corrections if they scored less than an A-. 

Today in class the 8th graders were assigned IXL A.I.8 on equations. Then we took our quadratic formula quiz. After the quiz, students had time to work on Friday’s slideshow on quadratic functions. Homework is to finish up bellwork or Friday’s assignment. 

Today in class the 6th graders were assigned IXL 6.N.2 on integer addition. Then we completed lesson 20 in our Ready Common Core books on inequalities.  Please finish the IXL at home if necessary. 

Reminder: Science Fair is tonight from 5-7pm!

Today in class the 8th graders were assigned IXL A2.B.6 on equations. Classwork was called, “Parabolas in Sports” and is due Tuesday. Monday is your quiz on the quadratic formula!

Today in class the 6th graders were assigned IXL G.S.4 on trapezoids. Classwork was called, “Compound Shapes” about finding area of compound shapes. These are due Monday.

Today in class the 8th graders continued IXL A.BB.10 on the quadratic formula.  Classwork was the first part of the final exam’s study guide on polynomials. We will check this tomorrow.

Today in class the 6th graders were assigned IXL G.S.5 on area on the coordinate plane. Then we finished our algebra quiz. Your homework is to complete the IXL to 60.

Today in class the 8th graders continued working on IXL A.BB.10 on the quadratic formula.  Classwork was called, “Quadratics Around the Room,” which is posted in google classroom in case you need to complete this at home. Your quiz on the quadratic formula is Monday. 

Today in class the 6th graders were assigned IXL 6.FF.5 on area of quadrilaterals.  Then we took our quiz on expressions and equations.We will finish the quiz tomorrow in class.  Homework is to complete the IXL from today.

Today in class the 8th graders were assigned IXL A.BB.10 on the quadratic formula.  We will also work on this same IXL tomorrow.  Class was spent finishing up yesterday’s assignment on vertex form graphing.  We will check it tomorrow. Your quiz on the quadratic formula is Monday!

Today in class the 6th graders were assigned IXL 5.EE.9 on area and perimeter.  Class was spent finishing up yesterday’s orange packet on lesson 22.  We will check it tomorrow. Your quiz on expressions and equations has been moved to tomorrow since we are not taking NWEA this week. 

Today in class the 8th graders were assigned IXL A.T.2 on vertices of parabolas.  Classwork was the packet on vertex form. We will check this Thursday.

Today in class the 6th graders were assigned IXL 6.Y.15 on expressions.  Classwork was the orange packet on lesson 22. We will check this Thursday. Our quiz on expressions and equations is Friday.

Today in class the 8th graders were assigned IXL A.T.1 on quadratic graphs.  Classwork was called, “Rearranging Formulas” and is due Monday.

Today in class the 6th graders were assigned IXL 6.FF.4 on area of quadrilaterals. Classwork was “Algebra Task Cards” and is due Monday.  I will post these in google in case you need to finish at home.
