Today in class the 8th graders were assigned IXL A.V.6 on exponents.  Classwork was “Polynomial Task Cards”.  Homework is to complete the IXL and review the PSAT materials I posted in google classroom.

 

Today in class the 6th graders were assigned IXL 5.X.8 on range. Classwork was in the Ready Common Core book on statistical measures of center.  Homework is to finish IXL. 

Thursday, March 14

Happy Pi Day!

 

Today in class the 8th graders were assigned IXL A.Z.8 on multiplying binomials. Classwork was called, “Multiplying Polynomials” in google classroom.  Please finish this for homework if you were in 1st hour. 

 

Today in class the 6th graders were assigned IXL 5.X.3 on median. Classwork was a few pages from the Ready textbook about line plots.  Homework is to complete the IXL to 95%. 

Wednesday, March 13

Today in class the 8th graders were assigned IXL A.Z.5 on adding polynomials.  Classwork was the “Exponent Quiz Study Guide” which is meant to prepare you for next Tuesday’s quiz. It will be multiple choice, so no retakes/corrections will be offered. Please finish what you need to at home.

Today in class the 6th graders were assigned IXL 5.X.2 on calculating mean. Classwork was the orange packet for lesson 25 on volume. Please finish this at home. We will check the orange packet tomorrow!

 

Tuesday, March 12

Today the 8th graders took their quiz on exponential functions.  There was no new IXL or homework.  Students should complete yesterday’s IXL and assignment at home if necessary.

 

Today the 6th graders took their quiz on the order of operations with exponents.  There was no new IXL or homework.  Students should complete yesterday’s IXL at home if necessary.

Monday, March 11

Today in class the 8th graders were assigned IXL 8.BB.7 on dividing monomials.  Then we began classwork, which is called, “Binomial Bookwork”.  Please finish up IXL and/or bookwork at home. Your quiz is tomorrow on exponential functions! I will not be assigning you anything new after tomorrow’s quiz, so you may do this tomorrow night as well. We will check it on Wednesday. 

 

Today in class the 6th graders were assigned IXL 6.K.8 on multiplying fractions.  Then we completed a few pages out of the Ready Common Core book on statistical questions. Your homework is to finish the IXL. Your quiz is tomorrow on the order of operations!

Friday, March 8

Today in class the 8th graders had a work day to catch up.  The IXL assigned today was 8.BB.12 and it is due by midnight Sunday.  Classwork was “Exponential Quiz Practice” to prepare you for Tuesday’s quiz on exponential functions. Please complete this over the weekend if you didn’t in class.

 

Today in class the 6th graders has a work day to catch up.  Each class had a different IXL for bellwork because of the schedule. You have a quiz Tuesday on the order of operations with exponents. There is no additional study guide other than the worksheets we have done in class this week. We will check Volume Task cards and “Parenthesis & Exponents” on Monday.

Thursday, March 7

I had a guest teacher today because I was at an Algebra meeting.

 

Today in claa the 8th graders were assigned IXL A.V.5 on exponents and A.Z.4 on adding polynomials. Classwork was to watch the videos on multiplying polynomials and take notes in your notebook, and then complete the assignment called, “Box Method for Multiplying Binomials”. We will check this tomorrow. Please finish up what you need at home.

 

Today in class the 6th graders were assigned IXL 6.GG.11 & 12 on histograms. Classwork was the assignment called, “Parenthesis and Exponents” in google classroom.  Please finish up what you need at home.  We will check this tomorrow.

Wednesday, March 6

Today in class the 8th graders were assigned IXL 8.BB.4 on adding polynomials. Classwork was the worksheet, “Exponential Functions Real World Problems”. Please finish this at home.

 

Today in class the 6th graders were assigned IXL 5.O.4 on the order of operations. Classwork was the volume task cards. Please finish the IXL at home if necessary.

Tuesday, March 5

Today in class the 8th graders were assigned IXL A.X.1 & 8.F.9 on exponents. First we watched a short video on polynomials and took notes on p. 27 of our INB. Classwork was called, “Easter Egg Hunt”, and is google classroom in case you were absent. Please complete the IXL at home if necessary.

 

Today in class the 6th graders were assigned IXL 6.FF.14 on volume. Classwork was called, “Order of Operations with Exponents” and should be completed at home if necessary.

 

 

Monday, March 3

Today in class the 8th graders worked with Mr. Kemian, the counselor, to research colleges and create their Educational Development Plan. There is no homework for math.

 

Today in class the 6th graders were assigned IXL 6.D.5 on exponents. Then they worked with partners to complete some pages in their Ready book on volume. Students got back their quizzes on dividing fractions and have until next Monday to make corrections if they choose to. Your only homework is to finish IXL if you need.
