Today in class the 8th graders were assigned IXL A.BB.2 on quadratic functions. Classwork was called, “Quadratic Forms with the Calculator” and may be finished at school next Monday if you didn’t finish in class. You have NO homework!

 

Today in class the 6th graders were assigned IXL 6.Y.6 on expressions. Classwork was called, “Matching Expressions,” and “Evaluating Expressions,” which are due after break. SHOW YOUR WORK BY GOING DOWN! Please finish them at home if you didn’t in class.

Thursday, March 28

Today in class the 8th graders were assigned IXL A.BB.12 on graphing quadratic functions.  The classwork was called, “Parts of a Parabola”, and have no homework unless they didn’t finish this.

 

Today in class the 6th graders were assigned IXL 6.Y.3 on evaluating expressions.  The classwork was called, “Variables and Expressions”, and have no homework unless they didn’t finish this.

Wednesday, March 27

Today the 8th graders took their polynomial quiz. There is no new assignment and no homework. Please make sure yesterday’s quadratic investigation is complete so we can check it tomorrow.

 

Today the 6th graders took their statistics quiz. There is no new assignment and no homework. Please make sure yesterday’s assignment, p. 386 worksheet, is complete so we can check it tomorrow.

Tuesday, March 26

Today in class the 8th graders were assigned IXL A.Z.9 on polynomials to prepare for tomorrow’s quiz. Then they were given the hour to complete the quadratic investigation and complete missing work. I will accept any missing IXL until 2:15 Wednesday. 

 

Today in class the 6th graders did not receive a new IXL.  They were given the hour to complete the back of Friday’s worksheet, p. 386 on the order of operations. Tomorrow’s quiz is on mean, median, mode, and range.  I will accept any missing IXL until 2:15 Wednesday. 

Monday, March 25

Today in class the 8th graders were assigned IXL A.Z.10 on polynomials to prepare for Wednesday’s quiz on polynomial operations.  Classwork was to complete Friday’s investigation about quadratic functions. We will work on this investigation in class Tuesday as well.  Please finish this at home if you will be on the band/strings field trip tomorrow.

 

Today in class the 6th graders were assigned IXL 6.Y.1 & 6.Y.2 on variable expressions.  Then we checked Friday’s worksheet and began today’s classwork, a worksheet called, “Algebra Vocabulary chart,” FRONT ONLY. Please finish the IXL or worksheet at home if necessary.  Wednesday’s quiz is on mean, median, mode, range, and line plots. 

*6th graders got back their quiz on volume today.  You have until Friday at 2:15 to make corrections!

Friday, March 22

Today in class the 8th graders were assigned IXL 8.V.15 on polynomials to prepare for Wednesday’s quiz. Classwork was to begin the investigation on quadratic functions. We will continue this in class on Monday. Your only homework is to complete the IXL if you didn’t in class.  

 

Today in class the 6th graders were assigned IXL 6.HH.2 on mean, median, and mode to prepare for next Wednesday’s quiz.  Classwork was the worksheet p. 385-386 on evaluating expressions and the order of operations (FRONT ONLY).  We will check this Monday. Please complete it (FRONT ONLY) at home if you didn’t in class.

Thursday, March 21

Today in class the 8th graders were assigned IXL 8.BB.13 on multiplying polynomials.  CLasswork was called, “Comparing Linear, Quadratic, and Exponential Functions,” in google classroom. Finish this or IXL at home if you need.

 

Today in class the 6th graders were assigned IXL 6.GG.5 on line plots. Classwork was the orange packet for lesson 27. This is due tomorrow. Finish this or IXL at home if you need.

Wednesday, March 20

Today in class the 8th graders took their quiz on exponent rules. There was no new IXL.  Classwork/homework is was the worksheet called, “Graphing Quadratic Functions 1 & 2”.

 

Today in class the 6th graders were assigned IXL 8.DD.6 on outliers. Then they took their quiz on volume of cubes and rectangular prisms with fractions. After the quiz, they were to watch and complete the  “Algebra Interactive” in Google Classroom. Please watch this at home of you needed the entire time to take the quiz.

Tuesday, March 19

Today in class the 8th graders were assigned IXL 8.BB.8 on exponent rules to prepare for tomorrow’s quiz.  Classwork was to revise your CERs for an assessment grade, and the assignment called, “The Pizza Problem”.  Please finish the IXL at home!  I will accept any exponent work or IXL until 2:15 Wednesday.

 

Today in class the 6th graders were assigned IXL 5.EE.14 on volume of prisms.  Classwork was lesson 16 in the Ready Common Core book on writing algebraic expressions.  You have a quiz tomorrow on volume, and must multiply fractions without a calculator. 

Monday, March 18

Today in clas the 8th graders were assigned IXL 8.F.10 on exponent rules.  Classwork was called, “Negative and Quotient Rules” to prepare for the quiz. Your quiz is Wednesday! Please finish the IXL at home.

 

Today in class the 6th graders were assigned IXL 6.K.13 on multiplying three fractions.  Then we calculated the volume of our boats from STEM Apps class. Classwork was two CERs on volume.  Your quiz on volume is Wednesday! Please finish the IXL at home if you need to . A few students need to complete their CER at home as well.
