Today in class the 8th graders took their quiz on substitution and elimination.  There was no bellwork.  They also received their Study Guide Part 3 for the final exam (which is NEXT Friday). Please complete this over the next few days. We will check it Friday.

Today in class the 6th graders began IXL 7.A.7 on LCM & GCF word problems. Then they took their quiz on LCM & GCF.  Homework is to complete the IXL over the next few days.

Friday, Jan. 25

Today was the science NWEA.

There is no new assignment for 8th grade. Please make sure IXL A.T.6 is completed to 90% (email me when completed) and the elimination word problems worksheet is due Monday.

Today in class the 6th graders (hours 4 & 6 only) received their orange packet for Lesson 14 on the coordinate plane.  They had most of class to work on it with a partner. Students in 3rd hour got it last week. Please finish it at home if necessary. This packet is due Monday for all 6th graders.

Thursday, Jan. 24

Today was the language NWEA test.

8th graders should be completing IXL A.T.6 on linear inequalities and Tuesday’s worksheet of Elimination Word Problems.  These are due Monday!  You will have a quiz on substitution and elimination on Tuesday.

6th graders (hours 4 & 6) had IXL 6.X.6 on coordinate graphing for bellwork. Classwork was to complete pages 128-133 in their Ready Common Core book.  There is no homework for 6th graders.  All sixth graders will have a quiz on LCM & GCF on Tuesday! Use your lesson 11 Orange packet to study.

Tuesday, Jan. 22

Today in class the 8th graders worked on IXL A.T.6 graphing inequalities for bellwork.  Classwork was the worksheet called, “Elimination Story Problems” and we will work on this in class tomorrow.

Today the only 6th grade class that met was 3rd hour.  Students received the orange packet for lesson 14 on the coordinate plane.  They worked on it with a partner and should complete it at home if necessary.

Friday, Jan. 18

Today in class the 8th graders began bellwork IXL A.T.6 in graphing systems of inequalities. We will continue this in class Monday. Classwork/homework was the assignment in google classroom called, “Substitution and Elimination” which we will check on Tuesday.

The only 6th grade class that  met today was 3rd hour.  They continued learning about the coordinate plane and reflection in their Ready Common Core book and have no homework.

Tuesday, Jan. 15

Today in class the 8th graders had the hour to complete IXL A.T.3 on linear inequalities and “Elimination Bookwork Part 2”. Both of these are due Friday.

Today in class the 6th graders worked on completing their orange packet on lesson 11.  This is due next Wednesday, Jan 22 since that is the next day I get to see all of my math classes because of NWEA and half days.

Monday, Jan 14

Today in class the 8th graders learned about more ways to use elimination to solve a system of equations. We will continue this in class tomorrow so there is no homework.

Today in class the 6th graders took their data collection from STEM Apps class and used it to make a box and whisker plot. We will continue to work on the orange packet tomorrow, so you have no homework unless you didn’t complete IXL 6.E.8 on LCM.

Friday, Jan. 11

Today in class the 8th graders learned about using elimination to solve a system of equations.  Classwork/homework is called, “Elimination Bookwork Part 1,” in google classroom.  Bellwork was IXL A.T.2 on graphing a linear inequality containing two variables. These are due Monday:)

Today in class the 6th graders began their “orange packet” on lesson 11 (LCM & GCF) with a partner. We will also work on this in class Monday. Do NOT finish this over the weekend! Bellwork was IXL 6.E.8 on LCM, which you should finish over the weekend.
