Tuesday, June 12

Today in class the 8th graders practiced the promotion ceremony. Then they had to time to complete missing work.

Today in class the 6th graders completed missing work, including their SpongeBob or Mario graphs. We will work on these graphs in class tomorrow too.

All late work (except SpongeBob or Mario) are due by 3pm today!

Monday, June 11

Today in class the 8th graders graphed and analyzed a system of exponential functions. Today’s IXL is 8.BB.9 on the power rule of exponents. All work is due Tuesday by 3pm!

Today in class the 6th graders watched a video and took notes on independent and dependent variables in their interactive notebook. Classwork was the worksheet, “Real World Graphing”.  After that they could work on whatever else they needed, including the graphing picture from last week. All work is due Tuesday by 3pm!

Friday, June 8

Today in class the 8th graders read and annotated an article about the link between sugar and alzheimer’s called, “Step Away from the Candy”. Today’s IXL was A.V.3 on negative exponents. All work is due by Tuesday at 3pm!

Today in class the 6th graders continued completing missing work and then began a coordinate graphing picture. You may work on this in class next week, it is not homework! All work is due by Tuesday, June 12 at 3pm.

Thursday, June 7

Today in class the 8th graders used desmos.com to graph real-world quadratics and analyze the graph to answer questions regarding context. The assignment was a worksheet called, “Golfing”. Please make sure, “Subtracting Polynomials”, is turned in by Friday at 3pm.

 

Today in class the 6th graders were assigned a National Geographic article called, “Measuring the Pyramids.” They are supposed to read the text and complete the close and critical analysis. This is due by Monday. The last day to turn in missing work is Tuesday, June 12 at 3pm.

Wednesday, June 6

Today in class the 8th graders worked on the assignment, “Subtracting Polynomials” in google classroom. IXL A.BB.12 can be completed until midnight tonight. You do not need to email me when you complete it.

Today in class the 6th graders worked to calculate the surface area of triangular prisms and pyramids. Your only homework is to complete missing work.

The last day to turn in any late work is Tuesday, June 12 at 3pm!

Tuesday, June 5

Today in class students played catch-up to complete missing work from Friday & Monday.  Then we began making decorations for the 8th grade promotion ceremony. There is no new homework, so please use this as an opportunity to do missing work!

Monday, June 4

Today in class the 8th graders completed the statistics vocabulary chart from Friday’s classwork. Today’s IXL is A.BB.12 on quadratic graphs. You may use desmos.com to graph them. Last week’s IXL 8.BB.12 & A.BB.10 have been graded.

 

Today in class the 6th graders finished Friday’s classwork if it wasn’t done on Friday and then took notes on finding surface area of a triangular prism. There is no homework unless you have something missing. We will continue working on this tomorrow.
