Today the 8th graders took the rest of their final. Great job everyone! IXL A.BB.10 is due by midnight Friday, or midnight Monday for late work.
Today the 6th graders had bookwork called, “8.2 Histograms #1-17” to analyze and create histograms.
I will be attending the trip up North this weekend, so I will not be in class tomorrow.
Today the 8th graders took part 1 of their final. I assigned IXL A.BB.10 on the quadratic formula that is due by Friday.
Today in class the 6th graders completed yesterday’s histogram worksheet in class and began the histogram stations activity that we will finish in class tomorrow. If you missed class for the band rehearsal, please finish the worksheet at home.
Today in class the 8th graders used today to prepare for the final exam by completing missing IXL and study guides. Classwork was Factor Pennants, which we will check before the final tomorrow.
Today in class the 6th graders took notes on creating histograms and received the worksheet, “Pre-Algebra Histograms.” The outliers packet was collected today, but a few students need to finish this up at home still.
Today in class the 8th graders factored quadratics to solve or roots on a worksheet called, “Solving Quadratic Equations by Factoring”. Your final exam is next Wednesday & Thursday during math class. DO NOT BE ABSENT!
6th grade classes did not meet because of science day. Please complete yesterday’s IXL 7.C.8 over the weekend.
Today in class the 8th graders practiced using the quadratic formula to find solutions to quadratic equations in, “Around the Room”, and have one IXL to complete A.AA.2 on factoring a GCF. IXL A.BB.5 & A.BB.6 are due by midnight tonight, and NO LATER!
Today in class the 6th graders took their quiz on box plots and dot plots. Today’s IXL is 7.B.5 on integers. Homework is to finish your outliers packet, which is due Tuesday! Class will not meet tomorrow because of Science Day.
Today in class the 8th graders continued using the quadratic formula to find roots. They also received part 2 of the study guide. Last week’s IXL A.BB.5 & A.BB.6 are due tomorrow!
*8th graders no longer have the ability to turn work in later than 1 day after the assignment is due. This policy is for all classes and students were told this by Mr. Baydoun in class today.
Today in class the 6th graders worked in pairs to solve fact families involving integers. This is posted in google classroom in case you missed today’s class. Today’s IXL is 7.C.8 on integers (NO CALCULATORS). 6th grade has a quiz tomorrow on box plots and dot plots!
Today in class the 8th graders learned how to use the quadratic formula to solve for roots. The assignment was #1-4 on “Quadratic Formula Practice”. We will continue the assignment in class tomorrow.
Today in class the 6th graders reviewed for this week’s quiz on box plots and dot plots in “The Name Game”. Please continue working on last week’s IXLs 7.C.1, 7.R.4, (and 6.F.7 for 4th hour only). Your quiz will be Wednesday!
Today in class the 8th graders learned how to solve quadratic equations using square roots. The worksheet in GC is called, “Solving Equations with Square Roots.” Todays IXL is A.BB.5 on the same topic.
Today in class the 6th graders found measures of center and variability and analyzed box plots in “Box Plot Bookwork”. Today’s IXL is 7.R.4 on integer operations (6th hour does not have bookwork because of the C-ASIST presentation). Third hour also has IXL 7.C.1 that the other classes did yesterday.
Today in class the 8th graders graphed functions in vertex form. Today’s IXL is A.BB.6 on the zero product property.
Today in class teh 6th graders took notes on the difference between measures of center and measures of variability and completed the assignment in google classroom called, “Measures of Center Or Measures of Variability.”
Please continue to complete missing/late work by tomorrow!
