Monday, April 30

Today in class the 8th graders worked on completing missing assignments. Today’s IXL is A.Z.8 on multiplying binomials using the FOIL method.

Today in class the 6th graders worked with partners to find the SA of prisms and pyramids in, “Surface Area of Nets with Dimensions”.  Please work on completing last week’s IXL 6.GG.12 & 6.GG.18 on statistics.

The 6th grade M-STEP is Tuesday & Wednesday!

Friday, April 27

Today in class the 8th graders took notes to compare linear, exponential , and quadratic function graphs. Then they worked on “Comparing Types of Functions” in google classroom. Please complete this at home if necessary.

Today in class the 6th graders created line plots and answered questions to analyze their data. Today’s IXL is 6.GG.12 on histograms and 6.GG.19 on box plots. Please complete this at home if necessary. (6th hour does not have the worksheet, only the IXL)

 

Wednesday, April 25

Today in class th e8th graders used graphing calculators to graph quadratic functions. Then we worked on finishing IXL A.X.5 for tomorrow’s quiz on exponential functions.

Today in class the 6th graders found the surface area of rectangular prisms in, “Boxing Match”. Today’s IXL is 6.GG.11 on reading histograms. Your quiz tomorrow is on mean, median, and mode.

Tuesday, April 24

Today in class the 8th graders graphed quadratic functions using tables. The we identified key features of the graph using a highlighter. We will check this tomorrow. There is a quiz Thursday on exponential functions and the power rule of exponents.

Today in class the 6th graders took notes and practiced finding surface area and volume on their worksheet. We will check this tomorrow. There is a quiz Thursday on mean, median, and mode.

Monday, April 23

Today in class the 8th graders celebrated “Care to the Core” day by making thank you cards for veterans and support staff at our school. We did not have math class, so there is no new assignment. Please complete any missing IXL tonight!

Today in class the 6th graders practiced using the M-STEP sample questions. This is posted in my google classroom and can be done from home as well. Please complete any missing IXL tonight!

Friday, April 20

Today in class the 8th graders analyzed worked examples with a partner. Today’s IXL are A.Y.5 on the power rule and A.X.5 on exponential word problems.  There will be a quiz on exponential functions near the end of next week.

Today in class the 6th graders found the volume of rectangular prisms using decimals and fractions in, “Volume #10”. Then they completed the rest of the bellwork sheet on mean, median, mode, and range.  Please finish this at home if necessary.

Wednesday, April 18

Today the 8th graders took the social studies M-STEP. There is one IXL for today, A.Y.3 on dividing monomials using exponent rules.

Today in class the 6th graders were assigned “Cheeseburger Statistics” in google classroom,  and  IXL 6.HH.2, 6.GG.6, 6.GG.5, 6.GG.3 on statistics.

Tomorrow is the science M-STEP.

 

Retake Dates

The retake session scheduled for Thursday, April 19 at 3 pm is full and CLOSED. There will be another retake scheduled for Thursday, May 3 at 3 pm. Friday, April 20 at 7 am is still open. Please continue to use the same sign-up sheet in google classroom.
