Today was the last day of school-wide NWEA testing. Make-ups will be done on an individual basis.

The assignment for 8th grade was IXL A.U.2 on graphing systems of equations. This was done in class but can be completed at home.

The assignment for 6th grade (6th hour only) is called, “True or False Number Sentences” in google classroom and IXL 6.AA.2 on inequalities. Use your interactive notebook to help you complete this.

There is no additional assignment for 3rd & 4th hour:)

Wednesday, Jan 17

Today in class students worked on their qualitative and quantitative data.  Keep working on this after NWEA tomorrow and over the weekend. Please try to submit it by Monday, Jan. 22 unless you are waiting for things to grow or arrive in the mail from China:)

If you need more help, ask google! Or sign yourself up for learning center by asking any teacher to add you to the spreadsheet.

There is no additional math homework other than working on data.

Today was NWEA Science!

8th grade did not meet for math, but your midterm exam study guide is due tomorrow! I posted one IXL A.S.17 for after NWEA.

Today in class the 6th graders (3rd & 4th hours only) had classwork called, “True and False Number Sentences” and IXL 6.AA.2 on inequalities. There is NO work for 6th hour because we did not meet today.

The last day of NWEA testing is Thursday, Jan. 18!

Friday, Jan. 12

Please make sure that if you need assistance completing your data section, you are prepared to work on it in class Wednesday, Jan 17.  That is the only day we are completely devoting to data. Otherwise, you will have to stay after school for learning center or complete your data section on your own.

Today in clas the 8th graders worked to use tables to solve real-world systems problems in, “The Shoe Problem/Video Games”. Today’s IXL is A.S.16 on standard form intercepts.

Today in class the 6th graders graphed ordered pairs on a coordinate plane on the, “It’s a Pi-Rate,” graph worksheet. (4th hour visited the DCMST science fair, since they did the graph yesterday.)

Thursday, Jan 11

Today all students took the NWEA math test.

Today in class the 8th graders were given part 1 of the midterm exam study guide. We will go over the correct answers next Wednesday.

Today in class the 6th graders in 4th hour graphed a picture on the coordinate plane called, “It’s a Pi-Rate”.

Today in class the 6th graders in 6th hour had three assignments: Math 8, IXL 6.V.8 and 6.X.5.

3rd hour did not meet today so there is no assignment.

Wednesday, Jan 10

Today the 8th graders took the NWEA reading test.  Math class did not meet.

Today in  6th grade, only 3rd & 4th hour were held today.  The assignments we did in class are called, “Math 8” which is solving real world expression and equation problems. The IXL are 6.X.5 and 6.V.8 on equations and graphing.

Tuesday, Jan 9

Today in class the 8th graders used the graphing calculators to graph systems and find their solution. It is called, “Systems Bookwork” and can be completed after NWEA tomorrow if you need my calculators. The IXL for today & tomorrow is A.U.5 on systems.

Today in clas the 6th graders reviewed combining like terms in, “CLT#2”, and wrote to explain how they solved equations in, “Guess & Check Equation”. The IXL is 6.AA.1 on inequalities.  Complete anything you did not finish at home:)

Monday, Jan 8

Today in class the 8th graders took notes on graphing a system of equations. Today’s IXL is A.U.1 on solutions to systems.
