20.1 Vocab!

Chapter 20 is here! Here are the new vocab terms for section 20.1!

  1. dweller: a person who lives somewhere
  2. rural area: areas with villages and farms
  3. urban areas: cities with bridges, skyscrapers, large population
  4. increase: move up
  5. decrease: move down
  6. push factors: reasons that force immigrants to leave a country.
  7. pull factors: reasons that attract immigrants to come to a new country.
  8. seaport: a place where ships stop
  9. specialize: to have one or two industries only
  10. isolated: separated or alone
  11. rapidly: quickly
  12. Mass production: producing large amounts of things in a short amount of time
  1. employee: a worker
  2. employer: the boss
  3. employment: jobs
  4. raw materials: natural resources that still have not been turned  into a product
  5. salary: the amount of money a person makes
  6. ship (verb): to move or transport from place to place
  7. condition: the way something is
