34. principle: something that you believe in that affects your behavior.

35. popular sovereignty: is when all the power is held by the people.

36. Limited Government: a government that has limits on the power.

37. Separation of Powers: the division of powers between legislative, executive, and judicial branches.

38. Checks and balances: a plan to keep any part of the government from becoming too powerful.
