Happy Thursday. Hope all is well during these tough times. Michaganders are strong people. We will get through this together. Just a couple reminders as we wrap up the week. All assigned work is to be turned in by 4:00 Friday. The assignments will be counted. I scheduled a google hangout for Friday @ 12:00 I sent out invites to all the students hoping you can help them login. This will be our first hangout. Hopefully we do it right, if not we will try again next week. Parent please continue to monitor your child on the computers. I am receiving messages on remind text in the middle of the night. The best times to contact me are between 8am and 4pm. Thank you so much for your cooperation and support.

Please continue to make sure that the work is being completed and turned in. All assignments need to be turned in by Friday by 4:00. I am keeping track of all the assignments that are being turned it. Please continue using google classroom to turn in the assignments. Thank you and Be safe.

Hope this message reaches you all in good health. I just wanted to check-in and make sure everyone is doing well. I have contacted more then half of the class. My phone number shows up as private. If for any reason you are not receiving my phone calls or message please email me with a number that I can use to contact you. It is very important for us to remain in contact. Please continue following the Governors orders and remaining safe at all times. I’m including some activities for you to enjoy doing with your children.
- taking a walk
- exploring the outdoors
- home projects
- cooking dinner
- keeping a daily journal
- starting plants growing indoors and then planting outside
- creating or reviewing family history
- playing board games
- watching pbs tv together and discussing what is viewed
- yoga, doing stretching exercises together
Welcome back!! We hope that everyone enjoyed the break. As you may have heard the Governor ended the in class instruction for the remainder of the 2019-2020 school year. However, we will continue with our on line learning until June 14th. It’s very important that you continue to check the blog daily and complete the assigned work. Under the governor’s new order and the districts plan the work will be graded. If for any reason, you don’t have access to a computer or internet please notify me immediately. We will try to work something out when possible. If you have any questions or concerns please email me at beydous4@dearbornschools.org I will check it daily and respond within 24 hours.
Reading: Please continue to complete 45 minutes a week on I-ready. I have assigned two lessons to all of you (Determining word meaning using context clues 4 and Determining word mean using context clues 5). Completing these two lessons will give you the needed minutes, the goal is to pass the lessons at 85%.
Math: Zearn lessons should be completed to Lesson 19. I urge parents to also have students visit Khan Academy. Please continue to work on computation nightly. Our focus is division. Students all have division cards in their math bags. If not those can be purchased from the dollar store.
Science: Please click on the link to Readworks. https://www.readworks.org/student-authentication. Our class code is 37YXD5 Sign in password Is 1234 and select your name. Please complete the reading passage titled “Clues about the Continents”. Make sure to read the questions first then read the passage.
Social Studies: A PowerPoint has been posted for this week that focuses on the Powers of the Federal Government. Please review the slides and complete the Google Form Quiz when you are done.
Writing: What is a fun activity that you have done with your family? Maybe you went somewhere? Maybe you did something at home? Think about what happened to make the event fun. Describe when and where this happened. Describe all the people there with you. Explain why this was a fun family activity. Complete this on google doc and submit by Friday.
