Just to clarify: If students did not pick up tonight’s homework they can do the following on a piece of paper and turn it in tomorrow morning:

write your homework on a piece of paper and turn it in tomorrow.

If your 5th grader did not pick up homework this afternoon, they are not alone! I have a small stack left here.

If this is the case for your 5th grader please have them write a reading log and their spelling words three times in preparation for the spelling test. For math practice please write out multiplication facts for 7s and 8s up to times 12.

We have lots of fun scheduled for tomorrow! If the permission for watching the movie Polar Express did not get turned in today, please bring it tomorrow!!

Where: Whitmore-Bolles Media Center

We are scheduled for the Holiday Shop on Monday, December 18th at 11:00.

Envelopes and schedules went home with students today. Please go over the envelope with students and send them back ready to shop on Monday.

Please remember to send cash only!

Just a reminder the field trip to the DIA is tomorrow. Students need to bring their lunch in a paper bag.

I am attaching the spelling list in case it is needed. It is also on Spelling City.  5th Grade Spelling Week 12

We are approaching the end of our fraction math unit. We will be reviewing and then taking the assessment. Student should be comfortable identifying fractions, labeling fractions, adding and subtracting with like and unlike denominators and multiplying fractions by whole numbers.  Khan Academy is a great resource to refresh and review concepts at home!

Just a reminder we will have our field trip on Wednesday to the DIA.

Permission slips went home last week. If permission slips have not yet been returned, please send them in tomorrow.

Students need to bring a sack lunch from home or order one from the cafeteria, we are having lunch at the DIA. We need to give the cafeteria a count on how many lunches to make, we will ask students for a count tomorrow.

Thank you to parents who volunteered to chaperone on this field trip. Please plan to join at the start of the school day as we make preparations to board the bus. Chaperones are required to ride the bus with students.

Wearing good walking shoes is essential as we will be on our feet the majority of the day.
