Practice for M-Step now!

M-Step testing will begin the week we return from Spring break. There are many resources on the district website under “student resources” for students to practice and get familiar with the interface, tools, and questions they will be seeing. The more practice students get in now the more comfortable they will be when it comes to test time. M-Step tests 5th graders in:

English Language Arts
Mathematics
Science

I recommend practicing M-Step and NWEA RIT practice. For additional practice students should continue using the “Clever” link where they can access Moby Max, Khan Academy and MyOn. When students read a book on MyOn they should always take the quiz at the end so I can track their comprehension.

We will begin practicing and getting familiar with the tools this week in school as well. Please let me know what questions you have and how I can help.

Homework

Student will be doing their nightly homework on lined paper from now on. I am running out of copies and we have plenty of lined paper, so we are going to try this route. Last night was the first night and homework that was turned in this morning looked great!
