We are doing a science experiment with pennies, we need one per student between the two classes. I have a lot of pennies, but they are all newer. We only need 50 pennies from 1981 or before. If you have some you don’t mind donating to science, please send them in!

Here are the spelling words if students want to get a head start on studying, words are also copied into their planners. This is a good opportunity to check that the words have been copied correctly.
I’m also including the directions for the weekly letter students write in class every Friday for you. Their spelling test should be stapled to the letter. It is a work in progress, but at this point in the year student should be following the directions carefully, including all the parts in their letter. We are working on writing detailed sentences that paint a clear picture of their week for you! Also, in 5th grade students are expected to write paragraphs with 5 sentences each.
Students’ homework each weekend is to share their letter with you and ask you for your signature. In addition, students should be reading for 20 minutes or more everyday.

Our class is scheduled for the Book Fair on Thursday, October 11th at 10:30
Campers are on the bus heading back to Whitmore. We have an arrival time of 12:30. Pick up anytime between 12:30 – 1:00.
Students must get signed out before leaving the bus!

Arrive in the auditorium with luggage at 8:30am.
Check in with Mrs. Bennett for attendance.
Check in medications with Mrs. Bennet at 8:35am
Luggage placed on trailer at 8:45.
Board the bus at 8:50am.
Leave Whitmore-Bolles at 9:00am.
Arrive at camp by 10:30am.
